      Edman (wrist) will take batting practice on the field at Busch Stadium on Tuesday, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

      Advice: The switch-hitting Edman was recently cleared to hit from both sides of the plate and will now progress to taking on-field BP for the first time since last October's right wrist surgery. Edman's progress from the operation has been slow and involved numerous starts and stops, but he's been trending in a positive direction for the last few weeks and he might not be far off from a rehab assignment.       Tommy Edman (wrist) progressed to taking on-field batting practice on Tuesday for the first time since offseason wrist surgery.

      Advice: The big question for fantasy managers is when will Edman be ready for a minor league rehab assignment?       JJ Bleday went 0-for-5 with four strikeouts in the loss to the Padres on Monday.

      Advice: He also badly misread a fly to shallow center in the second inning, giving Manny Machado a single.       Rodriguez went 2-for-5 with an RBI single, a double and a run in an extra-inning win over the Royals on Sunday.

      Advice: Rodriguez followed up his sixth double of the season with a clutch single in the 10th, snapping a 3-3 tie by driving in Josh Rojas. Rodriguez still has plenty of ground to make up in terms of his power production, but he's now hit safely in 14 of the last 15 games while producing a .328 average and .881 OPS across 63 plate appearances.       Advice: Kiner-Falefa knocked a two-run single in the second inning before capping off his day with a clutch bases-clearing double in the 10th to help secure the win. After an ugly 0-for-20 skid in the middle of May, he's gone 22-for-64 (.344) over his last 18 games.       Isiah Kiner-Falefa went 2-for-3 with a double and five RBI on Sunday afternoon, propelling the Blue Jays to a 6-4 victory over the Athletics in 10 innings in Oakland.

      Advice: Kiner-Falefa got the scoring started in the second inning with a two-run single off of Mitch Spence. He was then nabbed trying to steal second base — the first time that he has been caught all season. The versatile 29-year-old then delivered the biggest blow of the game with a bases-clearing three-run double off of Austin Adams that put the Blue Jays ahead in the 10th inning.       JJ Bleday launched a game-winning homer in the ninth inning on Friday, powering the Athletics to a 2-1 walk-off victory over the Blue Jays.

      Advice: Bleday opened the scoring with a run-scoring ground out against Toronto starter Chris Bassitt in the sixth inning before stepping to the plate and delivering a walk-off blast to right field off Blue Jays stopper Chad Green. It was his ninth big fly of the season and wound up being the difference in a low-scoring affair after Oakland’s lineup was silenced by Bassitt over eight frames to open the contest.       Pillar went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 7-1 loss to the Astros.

      Advice: Pillar had gone 1-for-10 over his first four games in June before this multi-hit effort. His second-inning homer was all the Angels could put up against Framber Valdez, who pitched a complete game. Pillar is up to seven homers, 26 RBI, 17 runs scored and a .324/.379/.590 slash line over 117 plate appearances between the Angels and the White Sox this season. Despite his strong numbers recently, he's been on the bench for two of the last five games, which suggests Pillar doesn't have a full-time role against right-handed pitchers.       Advice: Bleday's blast was the Athletics' fifth hit of the game, but it was enough to earn a walk-off win.
