    • Tanner Houck struggles in loss to Padres
Tanner Houck gave up eight runs — seven earned — over 4 1/3 innings in a loss to the Padres on Saturday.

    • Aaron Nola strikes out nine in loss Saturday
Aaron Nola allowed three runs with nine strikeouts over 6 2/3 innings in a loss to the Marlins on Saturday.

Advice: A solo homer by Nick Gordon in the second inning was the only run Nola had allowed going into the seventh. He stayed in just a bit too long as two doubles and a base hit would bring two more runs in to score for the Marlins, costing Nola the chance for the win. Still, he struck out nine batters with no walks in the solid outing. The 31-year-old right-hander will take a 3.43 ERA, 1.04 WHIP, and a 99/25 K/BB ratio across 107 2/3 innings into a start against the Braves in Atlanta on Friday. Rotoworld 10 minutes ago

    • Tobias Meyers gets quality start, no-decision
Tobias Meyers went six innings while allowing three runs and not factoring into the decision Saturday against the Cubs.

    • Allows three runs in no-decision
Cannon did not factor into the decision in Saturday's 11-3 win over the Rockies, allowing three runs on three hits and one walk with three strikeouts over 5.2 innings.

Advice: Cannon surrendered a solo home run to Brendan Rodgers in the second inning and a two-run homer to Nolan Jones in the fifth. He departed before the White Sox erupted for 11 runs, but it was nice to see the rookie rebound with a solid effort after allowing eight runs (five earned) in one inning June 23. On the season, the 23-year-old owns a 4.62 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 32:7 K:BB through 39 innings and lines up to face the Marlins next week. Rotowire.com 11 minutes ago
    • Aaron Judge reaches three times against Jays
Aaron Judge went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a walk against the Blue Jays on Saturday.

Advice: Judge knocked a base hit in the first inning, then drew an intentional walk in the third. With another single in the fifth, Judge drove in the first run of the game for New York. The 32-year-old slugger is slashing an MVP-esque .313/.434/.700 with 30 homers, 64 RBI, and 80 RBI across 365 plate appearances. Rotoworld 53 minutes ago

    • Jonathan Cannon surrenders three runs in no-decision
Jonathan Cannon allowed three runs with three strikeouts over 5 2/3 innings in a no-decision against the Rockies on Saturday.

Advice: Cannon served up a solo homer to Brendan Rodgers in the second inning, then a two run shot to Nolan Jones in the fifth. He recorded the first two outs in the sixth before a base hit would end his day. He struck out three. The 23-year-old right-hander will take a 4.62 ERA, 1.31 WHIP, and a 32/7 K/BB ratio across 39 innings into a matchup against the Marlins in Miami on Friday. Rotoworld Today, 1:52 pm
    • Back in action Saturday
Winker (knee) is starting in left field and batting third Saturday against the Rays.

Advice: Winker was battling knee problems after getting his foot caught in the outfield grass during the first inning of Friday's game, but he appears to be in good enough shape to play Saturday. The 30-year-old has slashed .260/.377/.412 through 302 plate appearances this season, though he may see limited work in the outfield after top prospect James Wood officially joins the Nationals for his MLB debut Monday. • Jesse Winker in Saturday’s lineup against Rays
Jesse Winker (knee) is in the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Rays.

Advice: Winker is back in left field and batting third for Saturday’s showdown after suffering a right knee contusion during the bottom of the first inning of Friday’s game when he attempted to catch a fly ball near the left-field wall. His right cleat got caught in the turf, causing him to stumble and fall into the wall, which led to his exit from the contest. He’s apparently feeling well enough to get back in the lineup, which is a relief for the Nationals, and fantasy managers as well. Rotoworld Today, 10:37 am
    • Collects three hits Friday
Judge went 3-for-5 with three runs and two RBI in a 16-5 win against the Blue Jays on Friday.

Advice: It was unusual for Judge rack up three hits without any that went for extra bases -- coming into Friday, 54 of his 88 hits on the season had been of the extra-base variety. Nonetheless, the slugger's ninth-inning, two-run single resulted in his recording of at least one RBI for the sixth time over his past 10 contests. Judge has been red-hot over that stretch, slashing .382/.462/.853 with five home runs, 16 RBI and nine runs scored. Rotowire.com Today, 7:20 am
