    • Snags fifth steal
Winn went 0-for-4 with a stolen base in Friday's 3-0 win over the White Sox.

Advice: Winn reached on an error in the fourth inning, stole second and went to third on a wild pitch, but he was left there. The rookie shortstop has cooled off with no multi-hit efforts over his last 14 games, going 7-for-40 (.175) with three steals and a 9:12 BB:K in that span. On the year, he's slashing .279/.354/.372 with no home runs, seven RBI, 10 runs scored and five steals, offering solid speed but little else while batting in the bottom third of the Cardinals' order. • Smacks homer in win
O'Hearn went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in Friday's 3-0 win over the Reds.

Advice: O'Hearn has hit safely in his last six games, going 8-for-19 (.421) in that span. The homer was his first since April 16, but the 30-year-old continues to demolish right-handed pitching. He's up to a .307/.381/.573 slash line with five homers, 11 RBI, 13 runs scored, three doubles and a triple over 84 plate appearances this season. He should continue to see a strong-side platoon role, mainly as the designated hitter but also with occasional looks in the corner outfield or at first base. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:13 pm

    • Quality in loss
Weathers (2-3) took the loss Friday against the Athletics, allowing three runs on five hits and no walks over six innings. He struck out five.

Advice: Despite yielding three runs, Weathers completed six innings to collect his second quality start of the season. Most importantly, the Miami lefty was able to control the free passes Friday night, allowing no walks for the first time since a June 15, 2023 start against Cleveland as member of the Padres. Weathers is scheduled to make his next start against the Dodgers on the road. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:44 pm
    • Goes deep in win
Rooker went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer in Friday's win over the Marlins.

Advice: Rooker opened the scoring Friday night, crushing a titanic 440-foot homer off Ryan Weathers in the fourth inning to give Oakland the lead. Despite sporting a .211 batting average, the Athletics designated hitter has provided plenty of power with six homers while slugging .507. Rooker may be heating up along with the spring weather, as he's hit .269 (7-for-26) with two homers and eight RBI over his last eight games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:41 pm

    • Handed loss Friday
Keller (0-1) allowed three runs on five hits and two walks over 4.2 innings Friday, striking out five and taking a loss against St. Louis.

Advice: Keller coughed up a pair of runs in the first inning but kept the Cardinals in check until he was charged with another run in the fifth. He forced 12 swinging strikes but needed 102 pitches to get through 4.2 frames. Keller registered a 4.50 ERA across three starts with Triple-A Charlotte before his promotion to the MLB level and it's unclear what role the White Sox plan on using him in moving forward. • Collects second save
Erceg picked up the save Friday against Miami. He pitched a 1.1 innings with three strikeouts, allowing one run on two hits and no walks.

Advice: In a semi-surprising development, Oakland manager Mark Kotsay allowed Erceg to collect the save Friday night instead of Mason Miller. However, Miller pitched back-to-back nights on Tuesday and Wednesday and may have required additional rest. In earning his second save, Erceg has shown to be the next reliever in line for the Athletics closer role. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:40 pm

    • Ryan O’Hearn hits two-run homer versus Reds
Ryan O’Hearn went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer versus the Reds on Friday.

Advice: O’Hearn legitimately looks like one of the AL’s best hitters right now, no matter how ludicrous such a statement would have been a year or two ago. That he doesn’t play versus lefties limits his fantasy value, but it’s probably time for the Orioles to try him against southpaws. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:32 pm

    • Vidal steals two bags, doubles twice in loss
Vidal Bruján doubled twice and stole two bases in a loss to the Athletics on Friday.

Advice: Bruján drove in the only run of the game for the Marlins in the ninth with a double off Lucas Erceg. The pair of two-baggers with a single now have Bruján slashing .298/.377/.447, and the swipes are his first of the season. Especially with Luis Arraez heading to San Diego, Bruján should continue to see a lot of playing time, and so far he’s taken advantage of his run. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:07 pm

    • Brent Rooker swats homer as A’s top Marlins
Brent Rooker hit a two-run homer to help the A’s to a win Friday over the Marlins.

Advice: Rooker absolutely scorched a two-run blast off Ryan Weathers to center, with the ball travelling an estimated 440 feet. That’s the sixth-homer of the season for the right-hander, and he’s up to 15 RBI over the A’s first 32 games. The average (.211) and stolen bases (1) leave much to be desired, but Rooker can certainly provide some pop. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:06 pm
