    • On bench against LHP
Yastrzemski is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against Atlanta.

Advice: Yastrzemski went 2-for-2 on Tuesday in his return from the 10-day injured list and will head to the bench Wednesday with southpaw Chris Sale on the mound for Atlanta. Rotowire.com Today, 1:34 pm
    • Could return as second baseman
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts stated over the weekend that he may consider having Betts (wrist) play primarily at second base upon his return, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Advice: The consideration to shift Betts back to second base from shortstop is primarily due to the impressive performance of Miguel Rojas, who has played excellent defense, as usual, while adding a surprisingly potent bat (he's slashing .291/.337/.437 over 164 plate appearances). The versatile Betts is no stranger to second base; he played a career-high 70 games at the position last year after beginning the campaign in the outfield. Betts was then asked to move to shortstop ahead of 2024 despite never having logged time there in the majors prior to 2023, and he's performed adequately defensively despite a few hiccups. It remains to be seen if the Dodgers will ultimately pursue having Betts and Rojas form their middle infield for most games, and Roberts has time to think through that scenario since Betts remains several weeks away from returning. He threw and ran Tuesday, per the Associated Press, but hasn't yet swung a bat. Rotowire.com Today, 12:18 pm

    • Bounces back with win
Ashcraft (5-4) picked up the win Tuesday against the Yankees, allowing three runs on four hits and two walks across five-plus innings. He struck out three.

Advice: Ashcraft spent three weeks at Triple-A Louisville before allowing six runs in a start against the Pirates on June 26. He rebounded after struggling in his first start back in the bigs, blanking the Yankees over five innings before allowing a pair of singles and a walk and getting pulled without recording an out in the sixth. Ashcraft is expected to stick around for one more cycle in the Cincinnati rotation, with a start scheduled for Sunday against Detroit before Nick Lodolo (finger) returns from the injured list. • Smacks homer in loss
Pederson went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 6-5 loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: Pederson had gone six games without a homer or a multi-hit effort before snapping both droughts Tuesday. His ninth-inning blast briefly put the Diamondbacks ahead before the Dodgers responded in their half of the frame. Pederson is up to 11 homers this year while slashing a hearty .286/.378/.507 with 35 RBI, 31 runs scored and four stolen bases over 239 plate appearances in his usual strong-side platoon role. • Shohei Ohtani hits 27th homer in win over D-backs
Shohei Ohtani clobbered his 27th home run of the season on Tuesday night as the Dodgers rallied to defeat the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Ohtani, who told reporters afterwards that he’s unlikely to participate in the upcoming All-Star Home Run Derby, led off the home half of the first inning with a double and scored the game’s first run on an RBI double off the bat of Teoscar Hernandez. He then flipped the game in the Dodgers’ favor with a mammoth 433-foot (112.0 mph exit velocity) two-run shot off of Justin Martinez in the seventh inning that made it a 4-3 ballgame. Ohtani finished the night 3-for-5 and is now slashing an absurd .320/.402/.646 with 27 homers, 64 RBI and 16 swipes. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:18 pm

    • Homer among three hits in win
Ohtani went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run, a double and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 6-5 win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Ohtani was a triple shy of the cycle in another impressive game from atop the order. Over his last 20 games, the superstar has slugged 12 homers and driven in 23 runs while batting .351 (26-for-74). He's been outstanding all year and seems to be getting better with his recent performance. Ohtani has a .320/.402/.646 slash line with 27 long balls, 64 RBI, 69 runs scored and 16 stolen bases through 83 contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:09 pm

    • Rhys Hoskins leads Brewers past Rockies on Tuesday
Rhys Hoskins drew a go-ahead bases-loaded walk with two outs in the ninth inning on Tuesday night, leading the Brewers to a 4-3 victory over the Rockies.

Advice: Hoskins entered the game as a pinch-hitter for Jake Bauers in the eighth inning where he went down on strikes. He atoned for that failure in the ninth inning though, working a walk off of Justin Lawrence to drive in the go-ahead run. On the season, the 31-year-old slugger is hitting .224/.318/.404 with 11 homers, 38 RBI and a pair of stolen bases. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:14 pm

    • Ashcraft fades in 6th inning against Yankees
Graham Ashcraft allowed three runs on four hits in five innings in a win over the Yankees on Tuesday.

Advice: Ashcraft threw five shutout innings, but he came out for the sixth inning and allowed a single, a walk, and a run-scoring single before being removed from the game. Nick Martinez then allowed a two-run double to bring in the other runs charged to Ashcraft. While the overall performance was solid, Ashcraft also struck out just three batters, walked two, and posted a 24 percent whiff rate and 27 percent CSW. There just isn’t much here for fantasy leagues. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:25 pm
    • Absent from lineup
Hoskins isn't in the Brewers' lineup for Tuesday's game against the Rockies.

Advice: After recording a base hit in 10 of his last 11 games, Hoskins went 0-for-4 with a sacrifice fly during Monday's loss in the series opener. He'll now sit against Ryan Feltner and the Rockies on Tuesday, putting Jake Bauers at first base while Christian Yelich serves as the Brewers' DH, opening a spot in left field for Jackson Chourio.
