    • Keeps up power surge
Higashioka went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Saturday's 13-1 win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Higashioka has hit three homers over four games in June. His increased success at the plate has seen him split the starts at catcher with Luis Campusano, who should still be considered the Padres' primary backstop. Through 62 plate appearances this year, Higashioka is slashing .180/.194/.410 with four long balls, six RBI and six runs scored. His OPS was as low as .377 on May 26, but it's up to .604 now thanks to his increased display of power. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:47 pm
    • Struggles in no-decision
Peralta did not factor into the decision Saturday against the Tigers, allowing four runs (three earned) on four hits and five walks while striking out three over 3.1 innings.

Advice: Peralta had issues with his command Saturday, with the five walks being tied for his second most this season. He threw 94 pitches to retire just 10 batters as he found himself in constant trouble with a lot of traffic on the bases. It was the 28-year-old's shortest outing yet in 2024 and represents the latest bump in the road after Peralta got off to a strong start to the season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:24 pm
    • Brendan Rodgers (hamstring) heading to 10-day IL
Rockies’ manager Bud Black told reporters after Saturday’s game that Brendan Rodgers (hamstring) would be placed on the 10-day injured list prior to Sunday’s series finale against the Cardinals.

Advice: Black also confirmed what Francys Romero had reported earlier, that Adael Amador would be recalled from Double-A Hartford to take his place on the active roster. It’s a tough break for the Rockies, as Rodgers had been swinging a hot bat and had been extremely productive over the past few weeks. No word yet on just how long they expect Rodgers to be sidelined for. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:40 pm
    • To hit injured list
Rodgers (left hamstring strain) will be placed on the 10-day injured list, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Rodgers was removed from Friday's game against the Cardinals after he had his hamstring tightened up while running out a hit. Further evaluation revealed that the second baseman has a strain in his left hamstring and will need an IL stint. Infielder Adael Amador will be called up from Double-A Hartford to fill Rodgers' spot on the active roster and should share second base duties with Alan Trejo. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:35 pm
    • Freddy Peralta struggles with command Saturday
Freddy Peralta struggled with his command in a no-decision against the Tigers on Saturday afternoon, giving up four runs (three earned) on four hits and five walks in just 3 1/3 innings of work.

Advice: The right-hander struck out three batters on the day. He had to really labor to get 10 outs in the ballgame, needing 94 pitches (56 strikes) to do so. Most of the damage came during a three-run uprising in the second inning as Carson Kelly and Mark Canha contributed run-scoring singles. Peralta got just five swings and misses in the contest, posting an underwhelming CSW of only 24 percent. He’ll attempt to bounce back as he carries a 3.95 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and a 92/26 K/BB ratio (70 2/3 innings) into Friday’s matchup against the Reds. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:24 pm
    • Resting versus LHP
Yastrzemski isn't in the Giants' lineup for Saturday's game against the Rangers.

Advice: Lefty Andrew Heaney will start on the hill for Texas, so the left-handed bat of Yastrzemski will stay put in the dugout to begin the game. While he rests, Michael Conforto, Heliot Ramos and Austin Slater will start across San Francisco's outfield. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:34 pm
    • Sitting as expected
Rodgers (hamstring) isn't in the Rockies' lineup for Saturday's game against the Cardinals.

Advice: Rodgers had to be taken out of Friday's game after his hamstring tightened up on him while running to first base in the fourth inning. The Rockies said the 27-year-old would require treatment for a couple of days, so Alan Trejo will take over at second base and bat ninth Saturday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:24 am
    • Bell: CES (wrist) to resume swinging this month
Reds manager David Bell told reporters Saturday that Christian Encarnacion-Strand (wrist) is expected to start swinging a bat in a few weeks.

Advice: Bell added that Encarnacion-Strand will ramp-up his strength training next week and should be cleared to begin hitting again at some point in June. The 24-year-old slugger has been out since early May recovering from a right wrist fracture. It’s starting to look like he won’t return until sometime after next month’s All-Star break. • Brendan Rogers out Saturday with hamstring issue
Brendan Rodgers (hamstring) is absent from the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Cardinals.

Advice: Rodgers will get some extra time to rest and recover after leaving Friday’s game with a mild left hamstring injury. It certainly doesn’t sound like a serious concern, but the 27-year-old will likely sit out the remainder of the weekend to continue undergoing treatment. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:48 am
