    • Camilo Doval locks down 14th save vs. Cubs
Camilo Doval struck out one batter in a scoreless ninth inning to earn the save against the Cubs on Wednesday.

Advice: Doval was summoned to close out the game with a one-run lead in the ninth inning. He gave up a leadoff single, but stranded the runner with a strikeout, fly out, and a groundout to secure the win and lock down his 14th save. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:15 pm
    • Teoscar Hernandez returns to Dodgers’ lineup
Teoscar Hernández (personal) returned to the Dodgers’ lineup for Wednesday’s contest against the White Sox.

Advice: The 31-year-old outfielder missed each of the team’s previous two games while attending to a personal matter in the Dominican Republic. Hernández will start in left field and will bat second for the Dodgers against Erick Fedde and the White Sox on Wednesday evening in Chicago. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:37 pm
    • Returns to lineup Wednesday
Hernandez (personal) will start in left field and bat second in Wednesday's game versus the White Sox.

Advice: Hernandez was unavailable for the first two games of the series as he dealt with personal matters in his native Dominican Republic. He rejoined the team Wednesday and will re-enter the lineup for the series finale in Chicago, occupying the No. 2 spot in the batting order for the second time all season. • Looks set to join big club Thursday
The Reds announced Wednesday that Marte (suspension) has rejoined the team after completing his rehab assignment with Triple-A Louisville.

Advice: Marte won't be eligible to return from his 80-game suspension until Thursday's series opener in St. Louis, but since he's back in Cincinnati rather than sticking around in Louisville, the Reds are presumably preparing to add him back to the 26-man active roster ahead of their four-game series this weekend. The 22-year-old struggled to regain his timing at the plate during the rehab assignment, slashing .151/.151/.170 with no walks and a 28.3-percent strikeout rate over 12 games. However, after Marte posted an .822 OPS in 123 plate appearances in his first taste of the big leagues in 2023, the Reds look as though they'll allow him to iron out the kinks in the majors. He's seen action at third base, second base and shortstop during his rehab assignment and may have to settle for more of a utility role with the Reds initially until he performs well enough to warrant everyday playing time. • Strong showing from bottom of order
Bader went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a second run scored and a stolen base in Tuesday's 9-7 win over the Yankees.

Advice: Hitting ninth in the order, Bader took Gerrit Cole deep in the second inning, one of four homers by the Mets off the Yankees' ace. The 30-year-old center fielder is slashing .273/.295/.545 through 18 games in June with three of his five homers and three of his 11 steals on the season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:44 am
    • On base five times Tuesday
Abrams went 3-for-3 with two walks, one RBI and one run scored in Tuesday's 9-7 loss to the Padres.

Advice: Abrams has rattled off three hits in four of his last five games, and he's added three steals, three RBI and eight runs scored in that span. The shortstop's sizzling stretch has him up to a .283/.335/.507 slash line through 71 contests. His .842 OPS is his highest mark since May 12. Abrams has done a little of everything this year, adding 12 home runs, 40 RBI, 48 runs scored, 13 steals, 19 doubles and five triples. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 11:08 pm

    • CJ Abrams reaches five times in loss to Padres
CJ Abrams went 3-for-3 with two walks Tuesday against the Padres.

Advice: It’s too bad this netted Abrams only one run and one RBI, even though the Nationals scored seven times. Unfortunately, the play from Abrams in this game that everyone will see was him being thrown out after lazily going back to first base following a single. He was also picked off first base in the game. He later appeared to have a stolen base, only to wind up getting sent back to first base because the umpire interfered with the catcher’s throw. • Collects 10th save
Scott earned the save in Tuesday's 2-1 victory against Kansas City, pitching a scoreless inning while allowing one hit.

Advice: Scott worked around a single yielded to Salvador Perez and subsequent pinch-run stolen base by Dairon Blanco to secure double-digit saves for the third consecutive season. The left-handed closer has been especially stingy since May 1, producing a 0.84 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 23:10 K:BB across 21.1 innings. Scott has blown only two saves in 2024 and is firmly cemented as the closer in Miami. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 8:05 pm
    • Tanner Scott picks up 10th save vs. Royals
Tanner Scott pitched a scoreless ninth inning to earn the save on Tuesday against the Royals.

Advice: Scott allowed a one-out single to Salvador Perez in the ninth but went on to retire the next two batters he faced. The veteran lefty now has 10 saves on the season and lowered his ERA to 1.59 on the season. Scott has converted on 10 of his 12 save opportunities, but saves have been hard to come by for the 28-win Marlins. Rotoworld Tuesday, 7:52 pm
