Matt Waldron holds D-Backs to one run over six
Matt Waldron allowed just one run in six innings to get a victory Saturday against the Diamondbacks.
Advice: Waldron didn’t have to be at his best with the Padres giving 13 runs of support, but he was pretty close to it. He allowed just three hits over his six innings, and he fanned four while issuing two walks. Since his struggles against the D-Backs on May 5, Waldron has been outstanding, and his ERA has lowered from 5.82 to 3.76 in that timeframe. Another chance to lower that mark comes over the weekend against the Mets.
