    • Swats grand slam Saturday
Winker went 2-for-5 with a grand slam in Saturday's 11-4 victory over the Marlins.

Advice: After walking CJ Abrams to load the bases in the top of the fifth inning, Edward Cabrera hung a curveball to Winker, who deposited it over the right-field wall to break the game open. Winker also had a single, giving him his first multi-hit game since April 16. He's now slashing .291/.404/.465 on the season for the Nationals. Rotowire.com Saturday, 6:23 pm

    • Christopher Morel exits after collision on Saturday
Christopher Morel was removed from Saturday’s game against the Red Sox after colliding with teammate Alexander Canario.

Advice: Morel told reporters after the game that he felt alright, just a little banged up — specifically noting his right hip and both elbows. He did say that he was optimistic about his ability to play on Sunday, though manager Craig Counsell may have other plans. Be sure to check on his status prior to Sunday’s series finale. • Jesse Winker hits grand slam in victory over MIA
Jesse Winker hit a grand slam in the Nationals’ 11-4 victory over the Marlins on Saturday.

Advice: Winker continues his offensive resurgence, and his grand slam in the fifth inning extended Washington’s lead to 6-1. The 30-year-old is now slashing .291/.404/.465 over the first month of the season; a vast improvement on the offensive numbers he was posting with Seattle and Milwaukee over the last two years. It’s a small sample, but there’s no denying what Winker has done is encouraging. Rotoworld Saturday, 4:22 pm

    • Emerges from fall uninjured
Cubs manager Craig Counsell said Morel "is fine" after exiting Saturday's game versus the Red Sox after the seventh inning following a fall in the outfield, CHGO Cubs reports.

Advice: Morel toppled over left fielder Alexander Canario after making a running catch and landed hard on the ground, banging up his elbows and right hip. He looked to be in some pain and was removed from the game at that point. However, it sounds like he probably would've remained in if the score hadn't been so lopsided. It's possible the Cubs will hold Morel out Sunday if he's still a bit sore, but it does not appear fantasy managers need to have any real worry about his status. • Notches eighth save
Phillips gave up an unearned run on one hit and struck out two Saturday to record his eighth save of the season in a 4-2 win over the Blue Jays.

Advice: The closer's own throwing error with two outs put Davis Schneider aboard and led to Toronto's final run, but Phillips otherwise had little trouble sealing the victory. The right-hander is a perfect 8-for-8 in converting save chances to begin the season, and he's delivered a dazzling 0.77 ERA and 15:4 K:BB through 11.2 innings. Rotowire.com Saturday, 3:46 pm
    • Thairo Estrada returns to Giants lineup
Thairo Estrada (hamstring) returned to the Giants’ starting lineup on Saturday.

Advice: Estrada was pulled from Wednesdays game against the Mets due to tightness in his hamstring, then sat out Friday’s contest as a precautionary measure. He’s back in there at second base and batting eighth against Martin Perez and the Pirates on Saturday night. Rotoworld Saturday, 3:11 pm
    • Returns to lineup
Estrada (hamstring) is starting at second base and batting eighth Saturday against the Pirates, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Hamstring tightness forced Estrada out of Wednesday's game against the Mets and prevented him from starting Friday, but it seems to no longer be a problem heading into Saturday's contest. The 28-year-old has gone 4-for-16 with two RBI and three runs scored across his last five games. Rotowire.com Saturday, 3:04 pm
    • Evan Phillips notches eighth save on Saturday
Evan Phillips allowed one run with two strikeouts in the ninth inning against the Blue Jays on Saturday to earn the save.

Advice: Phillips was summoned with a three-run lead in the ninth against Toronto. He quickly struck out the first two batters, but put a runner on with a throwing error. A base hit would bring in a run to make it a two-run game, but Phillips would hold on to record the final out and his eighth save of the season. Rotoworld Saturday, 3:03 pm
    • Rehab assignment approaching
Manager Craig Counsell said Saturday that Steele (hamstring) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Iowa on Wednesday, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Advice: Counsell didn't say how many starts the Cubs want Steele to make in the minors, but the 28-year-old southpaw is likely in for multiple rehab outings after sitting out roughly a month due to a strained left hamstring. Assuming his assignment goes smoothly, Steele will likely return to Chicago's rotation toward the middle of May. Rotowire.com Saturday, 12:17 pm
