    • Sonny Gray yields five runs to Angels in win
Sonny Gray won despite giving up five runs in six innings Tuesday against the Angels.

Advice: Gray had a 0.89 ERA after five starts, but he’s given up 11 runs in his last two outings, putting him at 3.05. On the plus side, he still has an impressive 53/8 K/BB ratio in 41 1/3 innings. We ‘re not very concerned at this point; Gray will likely get hurt against eventually, but he should be plenty good until then. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:24 pm

    • Allows five runs in win
Gray (5-2) earned the win Tuesday over the Angels, giving up five runs on eight hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out nine.

Advice: Gray was shaky for a second straight start, but he at least got ample run support this time around. The Cardinals took a 5-0 lead in the third inning, which Gray gave back by the end of the fifth. He ended up with the win after Alec Burleson's two-run home run put St. Louis ahead for good in the top of the seventh. Gray is now at a 3.05 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 53:8 K:BB over 41.1 innings across seven starts this season. The veteran right-hander is projected to face the Orioles in a tough home start in his next outing. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:22 pm

    • Earns first save
Puk earned the save Tuesday against the Tigers, delivering a scoreless 10th inning in a 1-0 victory.

Advice: After the Marlins finally opened the scoring in the top of the 10th inning, Puk induced three straight flyouts in the bottom half to strand the free runner at second and earn his first save in his second appearance out of the bullpen this season. Puk spent three weeks on the IL with shoulder fatigue after struggling mightily to a 9.22 ERA in four chances as a starter. The 29-year-old left-hander certainly had more success out of the bullpen last season, when he pitched to a 3.97 ERA with 15 saves in 56.2 innings. Puk was immediately inserted back into a high-leverage role, though he'll likely work primarily as a setup option ahead of Tanner Scott. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:01 pm

    • A.J. Puk earns save in win over Tigers
A.J. Puk pitched a scoreless 10th inning to earn his first save of the year in a 1-0 win over the Tigers.

Advice: He’s back! After Puk was a disaster as a starting pitcher to begin the year, the Marlins transitioned him back to the bullpen while he was on a rehab assignment and then immediately thrust him into high-leverage outings. Tanner Scott did pitch the ninth in a tie game on Tuesday, but he also allowed one hit and walked one which has been par for the course for him this year. For his part, Puk allowed three soft fly outs to strand the extra runner in the bottom of the tenth inning and secure the save. There’s certainly a chance he claims back the closer role from Scott, so he should be added in all leagues just in case. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:37 pm

    • Francisco Lindor goes 0-for-4 in loss to Phillies
Francisco Lindor went 0-for-4 against the Phillies in Tuesday’s loss.

Advice: Lindor has had some big games these last few weeks, but the consistency still isn’t there at all; this is the third time in four games and the 19th time in 40 starts this season that he’s gone without a hit. He’s at .204/.272/.383 overall. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:11 pm

    • Taking seat Tuesday
Burger is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game in Detroit.

Advice: Burger has had trouble finding his rhythm since returning from the injured list, going just 2-for-29 at the plate. He'll get a day off to reset. Tristan Gray will handle third base in Burger's stead. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:27 pm

    • Getting live at-bats in Arizona
Marte has been able to play in exhibition games in Arizona during his suspension, per Reds Daily.

Advice: The Reds Daily X account posted a video of Marte grounding out in an at-bat against Dodgers minor leaguers at a spring training complex in Arizona. Marte won't be playing in any official minor-league games with tracked statistics, but he has still been able to work on maintaining his timing at the dish. He is eligible to return from his suspension June 19, which is also around the time Christian Encarnacion-Strand (wrist) is expected to return from the injured list. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:14 am

    • Sitting out Tuesday
Bader is absent from the lineup in Tuesday's contest against the Phillies.

Advice: Bader had started each of the last four games but will sit out Tuesday's afternoon tilt. The Mets are going with Tyrone Taylor in center field. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:42 am

    • Teoscar Hernández goes 0-for-5 against Giants
Teoscar Hernández finished 0-for-5 with three strikeouts against the Giants on Monday.

Advice: Hernández is having a terrific fantasy campaign with his 11 homers and 33 RBI in 43 games, but the .244 average, .307 OBP and 30.6% strikeout rate aren’t exactly encouraging. It’s a good thing he plays for the Dodgers, because Statcast thinks he’d have fewer homers hitting anywhere else and he also probably wouldn’t be batting with as many runners on base.
