    • Michael King strikes out 12 on Wednesday vs. A’s
Michael King struck out a season-high 12 and allowed two runs over five innings on Wednesday in a no-decision against the Athletics.

Advice: King turned in one of his best outings of the year, generating an eye-popping 19 swinging strikes -- including 15 combined on his changeup and sweeper combination — and finished with a near-elite 39 percent CSW. The 29-year-old righty has allowed three earned runs or fewer in seven of his last eight starts since May 4. He’ll bring a solid 3.58 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 95/34 K/BB ratio across 83 innings (15 appearances, 14 starts) into a challenging road matchup on Tuesday against the red-hot Phillies. • Another strong outing Wednesday
Myers (3-2) earned the win Wednesday over the Blue Jays, allowing one run on three hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out four.

Advice: A Davis Schneider homer in the first inning accounted for all the damage against Myers on Wednesday. The rookie right-hander has made two starts since he was recalled from Triple-A in late May, allowing just one run on four hits over 14 innings. The 25-year-old Myers has certainly made a case to stick in the Brewers rotation with Joe Ross (back), Robert Gasser (elbow), Jakob Junis (shoulder) and DL Hall (knee) all sidelined. He's currently lined up to face the Angels at home in his next outing. Rotowire.com Today, 4:46 pm

    • Next start pushed back
Manager Dave Roberts said Wednesday that Yamamoto's next start will be pushed back from Thursday to Saturday against Kansas City, Kirsten Watson of Spectrum SportsNet LA reports.

Advice: The Dodgers have not announced a replacement starter for Yamamoto, but they will give the right-hander an extra few days to rest after he threw a season-high 106 pitches across seven scoreless innings during his last outing against the Yankees. The 25-year-old has put up a 2.50 ERA and 1.11 WHIP alongside a 22:5 K:BB across 18 innings over his last three starts. Rotowire.com Today, 4:38 pm
    • Rough day in Minnesota
Gomber (1-4) took the loss Wednesday against the Twins, allowing eight runs on 11 hits and a walk over three innings. He struck out two.

Advice: The Twins got to Gomber early Wednesday, scoring five times in the first inning before the left-hander was charged with another three runs before recording an out in the fourth. Gomber's now surrendered 15 runs over just 11 innings in his last three starts after working to a 0.67 ERA in his previous four outings. Overall, the 30-year-old left-hander sports a 4.26 ERA with a 1.32 WHIP and 49:22 K:BB across 69.2 innings this year. Gomber will look to right the ship in his next start, though he's currently in line for a tough matchup with the Dodgers at Coors Field. Rotowire.com Today, 4:36 pm

    • Logan Webb completes six innings to defeat Astros
Logan Webb yielded three runs over six innings on Wednesday in a win over the Astros.

Advice: Webb limited Houston’s formidable, yet injury-depleted, lineup to just a fourth-inning RBI single by Jeremy Peña before Yordan Alvarez clobbered a two-run homer a couple frames later. Still, he was good enough to outduel Astros ace Framber Valdez at Oracle Park in this one. The 27-year-old workhorse will bring a strong 3.02 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 78/20 K/BB ratio across 92 1/3 innings (15 starts) into a road tilt on Tuesday against the Cubs at historic Wrigley Field. • Austin Gomber lit up for eight runs by Twins
Austin Gomber was obliterated for eight runs over three innings on Wednesday in a loss to the Twins.

Advice: The scary part here is that this contest wasn’t at Coors Field and Gomber managed to give up eight runs on 11 hits with only one of them leaving the ballpark. He struck out two and only handed out one free pass. The calamitous outing results in his full-season ERA skyrocketing from a respectable 3.38 mark to a bloated 4.26 instead. He’ll aim for better results his next time out in a challenging matchup in Colorado against the Dodgers’ star-studded lineup. Rotoworld Today, 2:04 pm

    • Starting Thursday's game
Corbin will make his next start Thursday in Detroit, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Advice: The Nationals had planned to skip Corbin's turn in the rotation, but with MacKenzie Gore's (fingernail) getting pushed back a day in the pitching schedule, Corbin will step in to take the ball Thursday. The left-hander has had another disastrous season, posting a 6.15 ERA and 44:27 K:BB over 71.2 innings covering 13 starts. Rotowire.com Today, 1:58 pm
    • Tobias Myers quiets Blue Jays to net third win
Tobias Myers gave up one run over six innings on Wednesday in a win over the Blue Jays.

Advice: Myers limited Toronto’s struggling lineup to just a first-inning solo shot by Davis Schneider over six frames to pick up his third win of the season. He finished with four strikeouts and only handed out one free pass. With the injuries piling up for Milwaukee’s starting rotation, it wouldn’t be shocking to see Myers get an extended run over the next few weeks leading up to the trade deadline. The 25-year-old righty will bring a respectable 3.76 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 36/14 K/BB ratio across 40 2/3 innings (nine appearances, eight starts) into a tasty road matchup on Tuesday against the rebuilding Angels. • Start pushed back to Friday
Gore won't start Thursday against the Tigers in Detroit as previously scheduled and will instead take the hill Friday versus the Marlins in Washington while he recovers from a fingernail issue, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Advice: The Nationals will have Patrick Corbin take the hill Thursday in order to build in an extra day of recovery time for Gore. Though Gore is currently in line to take the hill Friday, fantasy managers will want to ensure he hasn't suffered a setback with the fingernail issue leading up to the series opener with Miami that may prompt the Nationals to push him back in the schedule. Gore will head into the weekend with a 5-5 record, 3.57 ERA and 1.37 WHIP through 68 innings on the season. Rotowire.com Today, 1:55 pm
