    • Strong in second win
Hudson (2-7) allowed a run on four hits and a walk while striking out three over seven-plus innings in Friday's win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Hudson allowed three baserunners through seven innings, but he put the first two batters aboard in the eighth, and one of them came around to score. This was Hudson's second quality start in a row, and he's achieved that against the Phillies and the Dodgers, the two best teams in the National League. It's too soon to say the right-hander has turned his season around, especially with Coors Field as his home park, but he's pitched well lately. Hudson has a 5.02 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 31:29 K:BB through 57.1 innings over 11 starts on the year. He's projected for a home start versus the Reds his next time out. Rotowire.com 19 minutes ago

    • Roughed up in no-decision
Myers did not factor into the decision in Friday's 12-5 win over the White Sox, allowing five runs on seven hits and one walk over 4.1 innings. He struck out four.

Advice: Myers entered this start on a hot streak, firing a 1.93 ERA and 12:4 K:BB over 9.1 innings in his last three outings, but struggled against a weak White Sox lineup. He allowed just one homer -- a 417-foot solo shot to Paul DeJong -- but failed to reach multiple strikeouts in a start for the first time this season. The Brewers rotation plans are murky currently as DL Hall (knee) has been making rehab starts and could return soon. If Myers remains in the rotation for another start, it would come against the Phillies on the road next week. Rotowire.com 29 minutes ago

    • Dakota Hudson holds Dodgers to one run in win
Dakota Hudson held the Dodgers to one run while working seven innings to help the Rockies to a 4-1 victory Friday.

Advice: Hudson scattered four hits while picking up three strikeouts, and he walked one. The right-hander didn’t give up a run until the eighth inning, and it came on a fielder’s choice off the bat of Mookie Betts after Hudson had left the game. It’s just the second win of the season for the 29-year-old, but he’s pitched relatively well as of late, with just three runs allowed over his 13 innings. Next up for Hudson is the Reds on Wednesday. • Tobias Myers allows five over 4 1/3 vs. White Sox
Tobias Myers didn’t factor into the decision Friday against the White Sox while allowing five runs over 5 1/3 innings.

Advice: Myers gave up three runs in the third, and another two came across and were charged to him two frames later. The 25-year-old allowed seven hits, walked one and struck out four in a well below-average start against one of the worst teams in baseball. It would be a mistake to trust him as a streamer against the Phillies next week, assuming he stays in the rotation. Rotoworld Today, 9:06 pm

    • Handed loss despite quality start
Corbin (1-6) yielded two runs on six hits and three walks over six innings Friday, striking out five and taking a loss against Cleveland.

Advice: Corbin coughed up a pair of runs in the third inning but otherwise worked around danger to deliver a quality start. It was his second straight quality start and third in 12 appearances this season. The veteran southpaw forced 13 swinging strikes, marking a new season best and his first time hitting double digits in that category since April 28. Corbin will carry a 5.83 ERA into his next outing, which is lined up for next week at home against the Mets. Rotowire.com Today, 8:36 pm

    • Bailey Falter great again across six innings
Bailey Falter pitched a scoreless six innings in a no-decision against the Blue Jays on Friday. He struck out five, walked two, and allowed just two hits.

Advice: Falter just keeps going. 79% of his pitches in this start were either fastballs or sinkers and the Blue Jays were completely helpless, reaching base just four times against him. We keep waiting for the other shoe to drop with Falter, but it hasn’t as the league can’t figure out how to square him up. He will take a sparkling 3.22 ERA into his next start against the vaunted Dodgers. Rotoworld Today, 8:04 pm

    • Matt Bowman elects to explore free agent market
Matt Bowman has elected free agency.

Advice: The 33-year-old hurler was designated for assignment by the Diamondbacks earlier in the week, but rather than accepting his outright assignment to Triple-A Reno, he has opted to explore the open market. Bowman has posted a 5.02 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and a 10/6 K/BB ratio over 14 1/3 innings between the Twins and Diamondbacks this season. Rotoworld Today, 7:12 pm

    • Sixto Sánchez lifted with lead in fifth
Sixto Sánchez yielded two runs in four-plus innings Friday in a no-decision against the Rangers.

Advice: Sánchez, who went without a strikeout tonight, was pulled with a 4-1 lead after giving up a double and a single to start the fifth. Declan Cronin took over then and did a nice job in allowing only one of the runners to score. Sánchez has completed five innings just once seven starts for the Marlins, and he’s still looking for the first victory of his comeback. His ERA stands at 6.06. Rotoworld Today, 7:02 pm

    • Patrick Corbin solid over six innings
Patrick Corbin allowed two earned runs across six innings in a loss to the Guardians on Friday. He struck out five and walked three.

Advice: Corbin is what he is at this point. Sure, he has three quality starts in his last four starts. Then you see his 5.83 and remember what he is. Leave him on the waiver wire. Rotoworld Today, 6:36 pm
