    • Set for MLB debut
Amador will be recalled from Double-A Hartford on Sunday, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

Advice: With Brendan Rodgers (hamstring) on his way to the 10-day injured list, Amador will get his first crack at big-league action. The 21-year-old hasn't made it past Double-A yet and although he owns a .194 batting average this season at Hartford, Amador is 14-for-39 (.359) with six home runs and six stolen bases in his last nine games. He figures to share playing time with Alan Trejo at second base. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:44 pm

    • Resting against southpaw
Lux isn't in the Dodgers' lineup Saturday against the Yankees.

Advice: Lux will take a seat as southpaw Nestor Cortes prepares to start on the mound for New York. Miguel Rojas will fill in at the keystone and bat seventh. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:50 pm

    • Adael Amador joins Rockies on taxi squad for now
MLB.com’s Thomas Harding reports Rockies top prospect Adael Amador has joined the club in St. Louis, but no decision has been made whether to officially recall him for his major-league debut.

Advice: Independent journalist Francys Romero reported earlier Saturday that Amador, who has homered six times over his last nine games for Double-A Hartford, was being called up for his debut. That’s on hold at least for the moment with Harding adding that the Rockies are waiting to determine whether Brendan Rodgers hamstring strain is severe enough to require a trip to the injured list. Amador has joined Colorado’s taxi squad, and it’s still possible he could be officially recalled in the coming days. However, for the moment, it doesn’t sound like his debut is imminent. We’ll have additional updates on the developing situation as it unfolds. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:50 pm

    • Joining taxi squad
Amador joined the Rockies in St. Louis on Saturday, though the team has yet to formally call him up from Double-A Hartford, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Amador sports a .666 OPS through 208 plate appearances this season with Hartford, but he has slashed .326/.388/.767 with six homers and 14 RBI while also stealing six bases across his last 10 games. With the Rockies waiting to see if Brendan Rodgers (hamstring) will require a trip to the injured list, Amador will remain on the club's taxi squad for the time being. He would likely return to Double-A if Rodgers is able to make a quick recovery. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:04 pm

    • Report: Rockies calling up prospect Adael Amador
Independent journalist Francys Romero reports the Rockies are calling up top prospect Adael Amador.

Advice: Amador has been sizzling-hot of late for Double-A Harford, batting .359 with six homers over his last nine games, on the heels of a frosty start to the year. The 21-year-old prodigy possesses excellent bat-to-ball skills, which should lead to high batting averages in Colorado, and is starting to show some additional over-the-fence pop. It’s unclear how long he’ll remain in the majors, but he figures to be worthy of a speculative pickup in deeper mixed leagues. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:50 am

    • Could deploy at 3B
Arizona manager Torey Lovullo is considering giving Alexander more looks at third base, Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports reports.

Advice: With Geraldo Perdomo (knee) due back in the coming days, Lovullo is evaluating potential roster decisions to accommodate his return. Perdomo's pending return puts a focus on Alexander and Kevin Newman. Alexander, who has made four appearances (two starts) at third base over the last 13 games, went 10-for-21 over a five-game hitting streak that ended Friday. At some point, the Diamondbacks may look for options to spell starting third baseman Eugenio Suarez, whose average has dropped to .198, while he is 2-for-23 over the last seven games. • Gavin Lux finishes 0-for-5 against Yankees
Gavin Lux finished 0-for-5 against the Yankees on Friday.

Advice: Lux wasn’t too bad from late April through the end of May, but he is 2-for-17 this month, leaving him at .204/.257/.281 overall. If things don’t turn around, the Dodgers will have to think about going with Miguel Rojas at short and Mookie Betts at second after Max Muncy is back. Really, they could just make the change now by calling up Andre Lipcius to play third. Rotoworld Friday, 7:55 pm

    • Marlins recall SS Edwards from Triple-A
Marlins recalled SS Xavier Edwards from Triple-A Jacksonville.

Advice: The Marlins need infield depth with Tim Anderson on the bereavement list and Otto Lopez on the paternity list. Edwards was hitting .365 with no home runs in 13 games with Triple-A. He’s batting first for the Marlins in Friday night’s game against the Guardians. Rotoworld Friday, 12:50 pm

    • Pirates optioned Liover Peguero to Triple-A
Pirates optioned INF Liover Peguero to Triple-A Indianapolis.

Advice: Peguero was recalled earlier this week with Michael A. Taylor going on the paternity list. Now that Taylor is back, Peguero is on his way back to Triple-A. The 23-year-old infielder could be a bench option again at some point for the Pirates. Rotoworld Friday, 12:35 pm
