    • Lourdes Gurriel Jr. goes 0-for-4 in loss to Reds
Lourdes Gurriel Jr. went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts against the Reds on Tuesday.

Advice: Gurriel got off to a really fast start and still posted decent run and RBI numbers for a while after that concluded, but he’s been a mess lately; he’s batting just .160 with no homers and three RBI in his last 19 games. On the plus side, his strikeout rate is fine and Statcast thinks he’s been fairly unlucky to date. He figures to retain some mixed-league value going forward. Rotoworld 30 minutes ago
    • Logs steal Tuesday
Goldschmidt went 2-for-5 with a stolen base and a run scored in Tuesday's 7-6 win over the Angels.

Advice: Goldschmidt has gone 6-for-19 (.316) over the last four games, adding three RBI and three runs scored in that span, though he's also struck out 10 times. Any progress is a positive for the first baseman -- he went 0-for-27 over seven games to begin May. On the year, he's at a .205/.287/.282 slash line with three home runs, 14 RBI, 19 runs scored and two steals through 40 contests. Rotowire.com 44 minutes ago
    • Gavin Stone holds Giants to one run in victory
Gavin Stone pitched six innings, allowing just one run, in the Dodgers’ 10-2 drubbing of the Giants on Tuesday.

Advice: Stone struck out only two and walked three tonight, but there wasn’t much hard contact from the injury-riddled Giants lineup. It’s Stone’s fourth straight quality start, and he’s now 4-1 with a 3.27 ERA overall. We don’t think he’s really this good, but since he definitely pitches for the right team, he’s worth playing in mixed leagues. Rotoworld Today, 10:21 pm

    • Shohei Ohtani goes 3-for-5, hits 12th homer
Shohei Ohtani finished 3-for-5 with a homer and a double against the Giants on Tuesday.

Advice: In what seems to be tracking as the worst year for offense in decades, Ohtani is batting .361/.427/.680 with 12 homers. He’s 69 points of OPS ahead of Marcell Ozuna, who is second in the majors in the category. Ohtani’s homer tonight was a 446-foot blast that left his bat at 113.4 mph, and his 109.4-mph single was the second hardest-hit ball of the contest. Rotoworld Today, 10:21 pm

    • Mitchell Parker allows three runs in loss to White Sox
Mitchell Parker was charged with three runs over five innings on Tuesday in a loss to the White Sox.

Advice: Parker was fortunate that the damage was only three runs as he left with the bases loaded in the sixth inning and was bailed out by teammate Jordan Weems. He struck out three and also issued a pair of walks. He’ll bring a 3.09 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 25/7 K/BB ratio across 32 innings (six starts) into a home outing on Monday against the Twins. • Fine after freak accident
Soler (shoulder/head) didn't suffer any significant injuries after getting hit in the head while hitting on the field Tuesday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Advice: Soler took swings on the field before Tuesday's game against the Dodgers as the next step in rehabbing his strained right shoulder, but he was removed by a trainer after a foul ball hit off the top of the cage and struck him in the head. However, it appears the outfielder managed to escape the incident with minimal damage. He will be eligible to come off the injured list Wednesday, though there is no telling whether or not he'll be ready to play then. Rotowire.com Today, 6:56 pm

    • Back on concussion IL
The Giants placed Bailey on the 7-day concussion IL on Tuesday, retroactive to Sunday.

Advice: Bailey missed the Giants' last two games due to an illness, and he met with a team doctor Monday to determine whether or not his illness was related to the concussion he suffered earlier in May. He will now return to the concussion IL and will be eligible to return to action Sunday, though the Giants will likely be more cautious this time around before inserting him back into their lineup. Blake Sabol will take over as San Francisco's primary catcher while Bailey is out, and Marco Luciano will come up from Triple-A Sacramento to fill the open roster spot. • Giants put Patrick Bailey on 7-day concussion IL
Giants placed C Patrick Bailey on the 7-day concussion injured list.

Advice: No word yet on the exact nature of the injury that Bailey is dealing with, but he was set to miss his third straight contest on Tuesday night due to an illness that appears to be related to the concussion he suffered earlier this month. There is no timetable for his return at the moment as his long-term health is far more important than anything baseball-related. Rotoworld Today, 6:23 pm

    • Simulating innings Wednesday
Miller (shoulder) will throw two simulated innings at the Dodgers' complex in Arizona on Wednesday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Assuming all goes well Wednesday, Miller will move onto either a three-inning sim game or begin a rehab assignment with one of the Dodgers' minor-league affiliates. Either way, the 25-year-old right-hander will most likely require multiple appearances in the minors as he continues building up to a starter's workload. Rotowire.com Today, 5:15 pm
