    • Bailey has two-hit game against the Phillies Monday
Patrick Bailey went 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI against the Phillies on Monday.

Advice: Bailey continues his hot hitting. He’s now 10-for-25 (.400) with six runs and nine RBI over his last eight games. The catcher is up to .308 with a .846 OPS on the season. Bailey is well worth using in two-catcher formats at this point.

    • Losing work to Ruiz
Adams will start at catcher and bat eighth in Sunday's game against the Mariners.

Advice: Though he'll step in behind the plate for the series finale, Adams playing time has predictably been on the downturn since Keibert Ruiz made his return from the injured list earlier this month. Adams will be making just his second start in seven games. Rotowire.com Sunday, 9:27 am

    • Resting Sunday
Smith is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds.

Advice: After starting at catcher in the last five games, Smith will get a break for the day game as the team finishes out its series in Cincinnati. Austin Barnes will get the start behind home plate and will bat ninth in place of Smith. Rotowire.com Sunday, 7:26 am

    • Will Smith scores lone run in loss to Reds
Will Smith went 1-for-4 and scored the Dodgers’ lone run in Saturday’s loss to the Reds.

Advice: The 29-year-old backstop led off the second inning with a single and ultimately scored as Jason Heyward bounced into a double play with the bases loaded. That would be his only hit on the night — and one of just five hits that the Dodgers would muster in the contest. On the season, Smith is now hitting .297/.365/.477 with six homers and 33 RBI. • Belts solo shot Friday
Smith went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in a loss to the Reds on Friday.

Advice: Smith gave the Dodgers a two-run lead with his solo shot in the top of the fifth inning, but the advantage was short-lived, as Cincinnati plated six runs in the bottom of the frame. The All-Star catcher has batted just 3-for-19 over his past six games, though all three of the hits have gone for extra bases, including two that have left the yard. Smith is sporting a solid .298/.368/.482 slash line over 193 plate appearances on the season. Rotowire.com Saturday, 11:49 am

    • Launches game-winning slam
Bailey went 2-for-4 with a grand slam and a stolen base in Friday's 8-7 win over the Mets.

Advice: The 24-year-old backstop took Reed Garrett deep in the eighth inning to put the Giants ahead 7-6 and help them make history, as they became only the fourth team since 1900 to win three straight games in which it had been trailing in by four or more runs. Bailey has gone 5-for-11 in four games since returning from a concussion, and on the season he's slashing .301/.352/.495 with four homers, two steals, 13 runs and 16 RBI in 30 contests. • Patrick Bailey hits go-ahead grand slam
Patrick Bailey went 2-for-4 with a grand slam and stolen base in the Giants 8-7 win over the Mets on Friday.

Advice: Bailey silenced the crowd in Queens and turned a three-run deficit into a lead the Giants wouldn’t relinquish. Fantasy managers certainly love the unexpected stolen base too, a heady move by Bailey with Edwin Díaz on the mound who struggles to hold runners on. Something seems to have clicked for Bailey who’s carrying an .847 OPS this season and has the underlying metrics to match this breakout. Rotoworld Friday, 7:29 pm

    • Bailey returns to Giants lineup Friday
Patrick Bailey is back in the Giants’ lineup for Friday’s game against the Mets.

Advice: Bailey had the day off on Thursday, but came off the bench to pinch hit late in the game. He’s hitting .292 with three home runs in 89 at-bats for the Giants this season. Rotoworld Friday, 12:26 pm

    • Getting rest Thursday
Bailey is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Pirates.

Advice: Though he returned from the 7-day injured list Tuesday after recovering from a concussion, Bailey didn't rejoin the lineup until the Giants' 9-5 win Wednesday, when he started behind the dish and went 3-for-5 with a double, two runs and an RBI. Bailey should see the bulk of the starts behind the dish moving forward, but he'll cede catching duties to Curt Casali as the Giants and Pirates wrap up their series with a day game after a night game.
