      Advice: Steer's been locked in of late, going 11-for-35 with eight RBI over the last nine contests. He began the season as the team's primary left fielder but has played a lot at first base since Christian Encarnacion-Strand (wrist) landed on the injured list in May. With news the Encarnacion-Strand opted for surgery that likely spells the end of his season, Steer is in line to become the club's primary first baseman.       Advice: Garcia gave the Rangers a 3-1 lead with his sixth-inning blast, though the advantage was wiped out on a Rhys Hoskins grand slam in the bottom of the frame. As with Hoskins, Garcia's homer ended an extended power drought -- the outfielder hadn't gone deep in any of his past 17 games and had driven in just one run during that span.       Advice: It’s pretty remarkable that the Reds finished with 11 runs in this one considering they put three straight zeroes on the scoreboard to open the contest before Steer finally got Cincinnati on the board with a two-run double in the fourth inning.       Padres placed OF Fernando Tatis Jr. on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to June 22, with a right femoral stress reaction.
