    • Mitch Keller gives up three runs in loss to A’s
      Mitch Keller dropped to 2-3 after allowing three runs in five innings Tuesday against the A’s.

      Advice: Keller struck out seven tonight, so that’s not bad. Still, he should have far better than a 5.18 ERA while facing a pretty easy schedule to date. His slider is just broken, and his lack of a true offspeed pitch has caught up to him big time.       Keller (2-3) took the loss Tuesday, allowing three runs on seven hits and two walks over five innings against the A's. He struck out seven.

      Advice: Although Keller punched out seven batters for a second consecutive outing, he was tagged for a trio of runs, including a solo homer by JJ Bleday. After entering the 2024 season with relatively high expectations, Keller has fallen to a 5.18 ERA through 40.0 innings and has surrendered five or more hits in all seven starts.       Alzolay (1-3) allowed three unearned runs on two hits across an inning of work to take the loss Tuesday against the Mets.

      Advice: Alzolay should have had a 1-2-3 sixth inning, but a Dansby Swanson throwing error gave the Mets life, and they took advantage. A single and a three-run home run by DJ Stewart quickly broke open a 1-1 tie, and New York hung on for the 4-2 win, which saddled Alzolay with his third loss of the season. While it wasn't all his fault Tuesday, it's been a struggle overall for the righty, as he blew four saves in the early going to get yanked from the closer's role.       Acuna went 1-for-4 with a pair of stolen bases Monday in a loss to the Mariners.

      Advice: Acuna's wheels were key in the production of Atlanta's only run, as the star outfielder began the seventh inning by reaching on an infield single, subsequently stole both second and third base, and came around to score on an Ozzie Albies double. Acuna also struck out three times in the contest, and he's now fanned multiple times in three straight games, but fantasy managers are likely to mostly ignore that as long as he continues to run wild on the basepaths.       Ryan didn't factor into the decision Monday, allowing two runs on six hits and a walk across six innings against the White Sox. He struck out three.

      Advice: Although Ryan tallied his lowest strikeout total of the campaign, he cashed in on his fourth quality start of his last five appearances. After yielding a pair of home runs to the White Sox in his last start, Ryan limited the team to just one extra-base hit on the day. He owns a 1.3 BB/9 through 34.2 innings in 2024, another improvement after posting a 2.9 BB/9 in 2022 and a 1.9 BB/9 in 2023.       Ronald Acuña Jr. stole two bases and scored a run in a loss to the Mariners on Monday.

      Advice: After breaking up Bryce Miller’s no-hitter, Acuña swiped second base to get into scoring position, and then took advantage of Seattle not paying attention by getting to third. He scored what looked to be the go-ahead run on a double from Ozzie Albies, but the Mariners were able to score two in the ninth to get the win.       Joe Ryan gave up two runs over six innings on Monday in a no-decision against the White Sox.

      Advice: Ryan didn’t exactly capitalize on his second straight extremely favorable matchup against Chicago’s struggling lineup, finishing with three strikeouts and only issuing one walk. He finished with only nine swinging strikes and a disastrous 21 percent CSW. The 27-year-old righty has been on a roll, allowing three earned runs or fewer in six consecutive starts to open the 2024 campaign.
