  • Tallies two thefts Thursday
Taylor went 2-for-3 with a walk and two stolen bases in Thursday's 5-3 win over the Rockies.

Advice: It's been a brutal season for Taylor, as evidenced by the fact that this was his first multi-hit game. The utility man capitalized on reaching base three times by swiping two bags after entering Thursday with just one steal this season. Taylor is still slashing a putrid .131/.230/.192 on the campaign, but he's at least shown some signs of life of late, going 5-for-15 over his past six contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:34 pm

  • Adael Amador dealing with ‘mild’ oblique strain
Adael Amador was removed from Thursday’s game against the Dodgers due to a “mild” oblique strain.

Advice: Rockies manager Bud Black characterized it as a mild strain that’s similar to one he was dealing with earlier this year at Double-A Hartford. We’ll see. Amador went 1-for-3 with a single prior to being lifted from Thursday’s contest against the Dodgers in the eighth inning and could wind up requiring a trip to the injured list if he’s unable to play through the injury. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:34 pm

  • Suffers oblique strain
Manager Bud Black said Amador was removed from Thursday's game against the Dodgers due to a "mild oblique strain," Luke Zahlmann of The Denver Gazette reports.

Advice: Amador appeared to be wincing after his at-bat in the seventh inning and was replaced in the field before the eighth frame. The 21-year-old suffered a similar injury earlier in the season while with Double-A Hartford, and it remains to be seen whether he'll require a trip to the injured list. • CJ Abrams day-to-day after MRI on left wrist
CJ Abrams is day-to-day after an MRI this week revealed a Ganglion cyst on his left palm near his wrist.

Advice: Nationals manager Dave Martinez told reporters Thursday that it isn’t a serious concern. We’re not medical professionals, but a Ganglion cyst is basically a non-cancerous lump that appears along the joints of the wrists or hands. It doesn’t sound like a serious concern moving forward as the issue mighty simply go away on its own, but it’s something Abrams will have to manage going forward. It wouldn’t be surprising to see Abrams back in Washington’s lineup at some point in the coming days. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:49 pm
  • Tyler Fitzgerald serving as 27th man on Thursday
Tyler Fitzgerald will serve as the 27th man for Thursday’s game against the Cardinals at Rickwood Field in Alabama.

Advice: Fitzgerald has gotten into a career-high 27 contests this season for San Francisco and provides the club with a versatile bench option for Thursday’s showdown against the Cardinals at historic Rickwood Field in Alabama. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:37 pm
  • Day-to-day following MRI on wrist
Abrams is considered day-to-day after an MRI revealed a ganglion cyst on his left wrist, Spencer Nusbaum of The Washington Post reports.

Advice: A ganglion cyst is a noncancerous lump which is commonly found on the tendons or joints of the wrists and hands. While the cyst has caused Abrams some discomfort, it's something that will often clear on its own. The shortstop could be back in the lineup this weekend in Colorado. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:02 pm
  • Thairo Estrada not in the lineup on Thursday
Thairo Estrada is not in the lineup for Thursday’s game against the Cardinals.

Advice: It appears to be a routine day off for Estrada, who was involved in a minor collision at first base yesterday but remained in the game. The 28-year-old has not been having a great season, hitting .240 with just one steal in 71 games. He’s also hitting .211 with 13 strikeouts over 14 games in June, so things haven’t been ticking up of late either. The Giants will move Brett Wisely to second base and start Nick Ahmed at shortstop. • Taking seat Thursday
Estrada is absent from the lineup for Thursday's game versus the Cardinals.

Advice: The Giants are giving Brett Wisely a start at second base and Nick Ahmed will be his double-play partner at shortstop. It seems to be a routine day off for Estrada, who had started each of the previous 14 contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:30 pm
  • Added as 27th man
The Giants recalled Fitzgerald from Triple-A Sacramento on Thursday.

Advice: Fitzgerald will serve as the team's 27th man during Thursday's game against the Cardinals at Rickwood Field in Birmingham, Ala. The utility player is likely to be sent back to Sacramento following the contest. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:11 am
