  • Manny Machado collects four hits against Brewers
Manny Machado went 4-for-5 with an RBI in a victory Friday over the Brewers.

Advice: Machado and Jake Cronenworth were the offensive stars for the Padres on Friday; combining to go 9-for-10 in the four-run win. He singled three times and scored two runs while improving his slash to a still-disappointing .263/.318/.387 in 72 games and 204 at-bats. Rotoworld 50 minutes ago
  • Austin Riley stays hot with another homer
Austin Riley went 2-for-3 with a home run, two runs scored, and two walks on Friday against the Yankees.

Advice: Riley’s OPS has climbed from .618 to .744 in exactly one week. That is truly remarkable. It already feels like his putrid April and May will be a distant memory soon. If there was any question, the buy-low window on Riley has slammed shut. Rotoworld Today, 7:27 pm
  • Dodgers transfer Max Muncy to 60-day IL
Dodgers transferred INF Max Muncy to the 60-day injured list.

Advice: The 33-year-old slugger has been shelved since May 17 due to a right oblique strain. There’s still no clear timetable for when he may be able to rejoin the Dodgers, though he now won’t be eligible to return until July 16 at the earliest. Muncy did take ground balls prior to Friday’s game, but he has a long way to go to build back up before he’s ready to be activated. Rotoworld Today, 6:02 pm

  • Transferred to 60-day IL
The Dodgers Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times Muncy (oblique) to the 60-day injured list Friday, Jack Harris reports.

Advice: Muncy was placed on the 10-day IL on May 17 due to a Grade 1 right oblique strain. It took him nearly a month to begin taking dry swings and he has been limited to fielding grounders and running the bases. With more steps needed before beginning a rehab assignment, the Dodgers opted to move Muncy to the 60-day IL on Friday, meaning he won't be eligible to return until after the All-Star break. In a corresponding move, the Dodgers activated Kyle Hurt (shoulder) from the 60-day IL and optioned him to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday, per Harris. Rotowire.com Today, 5:55 pm

  • Sitting against southpaw
Biggio isn't in the lineup for Friday's game against the Angels.

Advice: Biggio has been platooning with righty Enrique Hernandez at third base since being acquired by the Dodgers. With lefty Patrick Sandoval on the mound for the Angels, it will be Hernandez who fills the hot corner Friday. Rotowire.com Today, 3:13 pm

  • Jeimer Candelario (tendinitis) returns to lineup
Jeimer Candelario (tendinitis) returned to the Reds’ starting lineup on Friday night.

Advice: Candelario was pulled from Tuesday’s game due to general fatigue and tendinitis and then sat out Wednesday’s game as a precautionary measure. He’s feeling much improved after a couple of days off though and is back in there as the Reds’ designated hitter on Friday night. He’ll bat third against Kutter Crawford and the Red Sox. • Back in lineup
Candelario is batting third and the designated hitter for Friday's game against Boston.

Advice: Candelario had been battling unspecified tendinitis the past few days and missed the Reds' most recent game. However, he'll be back in action Friday, claiming DH duties. Rotowire.com Today, 12:24 pm
  • Out against left-hander
Busch is not in the lineup for Friday's contest against the Mets.

Advice: The Mets are sending southpaw Jose Quintana to the bump, which means Busch will begin this one on the bench. Patrick Wisdom is getting the start at first base. Rotowire.com Today, 8:44 am

  • Slugs seventh homer
Machado went 2-for-3 with a three-run home run and a walk in Thursday's win over Milwaukee.

Advice: Machado jumped on a four-seamer from Bryse Wilson with two outs in the bottom of the first inning and sent it into the stands in right field to put San Diego up 3-1. The third baseman would also add a single, giving him his third multi-hit performance in his last four games. Machado is now up to seven homers on the season, though Thursday's long ball was only his second since May 3. Rotowire.com Today, 7:50 am
