  • David Peterson loses command in no decision
David Peterson allowed one run on three hits in 4 1/3 innings in a no-decision against the Yankees.

Advice: Peterson also struck out eight but walked five on the day. He was gifted a 6-1 lead, but he was unable to pitch deep enough to get the win as he walked two straight batters after getting the first out in the fifth inning and was removed before facing a right-handed batter. The left-hander had an impressive 31 percent whiff rate and 30 percent CSW on the day, but he struggled to find the zone with his fastball and now has 10 walks over his last three starts. He hasn’t been consistent since coming off the IL, but he has flashed some swing-and-miss that could keep him on the streaming radar. Rotoworld 4 minutes ago

  • ATL-STL postponed Tuesday
Lopez won't face the Cardinals on Tuesday after the game was postponed due to inclement weather, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Tuesday's game will be made up Wednesday as part of a doubleheader, and Lopez will get the nod to start the earlier of the two games. The 30-year-old righty hasn't allowed an earned run in 11 innings over his last two starts and will be facing a Cardinals offense that currently ranks 10th in the NL with a .687 OPS. • Padres activate and option Glenn Otto to Triple-A
Padres activated RHP Glenn Otto from the 15-day injured list; optioned him to Triple-A El Paso.

Advice: Otto will remain stationed at Triple-A El Paso as extra organizational depth after wrapping up a minor league rehab assignment. The 28-year-old righty has been out since mid-May due to a right shoulder strain. Rotoworld Today, 5:12 pm
  • Sent back to minors
The Giants optioned Burgos to Triple-A Sacramento on Tuesday, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Advice: Burgos' contract was selected from Triple-A on Monday, and he'll now head back to Sacramento after spending just 24 hours in the big leagues. He gave up an earned run on three hits and a walk over one inning in his MLB debut. The 25-year-old southpaw has turned in a 1.64 ERA and 0.82 WHIP through 22 frames in the minors, however, so a return to San Francisco later in the year is definitely possible. Mason Black was recalled in a corresponding move. Rotowire.com Today, 3:29 pm
  • Ryan Borucki (triceps) starts rehab assignment
Ryan Borucki (triceps) will begin a minor league rehab assignment on Tuesday with Triple-A Indianapolis.

Advice: Borucki has been out since early April due to triceps inflammation, but should be ready to return at some point next month. Rotoworld Today, 3:17 pm
  • Hoby Milner draws first career start on Tuesday
Hoby Milner will serve as the Brewers’ opener for Tuesday’s game against the Rangers.

Advice: This is pretty cool. Milner will make his first career start, technically, on Tuesday night after 269 relief appearances in the big leagues since 2017. It’ll be Bryse Wilson following him for a bulk relief outing afterwards. Rotoworld Today, 2:44 pm
  • Opening Tuesday
Milner will start Tuesday's game against the Rangers, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The left-hander will make the first start of his MLB career Tuesday before turning things over to primary pitcher Bryse Wilson after an inning or two. Milner has struggled in his past six outings with nine earned runs allowed after posting a 2.87 ERA in his first 30 appearances of the campaign. Rotowire.com Today, 2:44 pm
  • Following opener Tuesday
Wilson will pitch behind opener Hoby Milner against the Rangers on Tuesday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Wilson was scheduled to start Tuesday's contest but will instead follow a lefty opener. The right-hander has failed to last five frames in five of his past eight outings, so the strategy could improve his chances of qualifying for a victory. However, Wilson has a 5.68 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and 28:16 K:BB during that eight-start stretch. Rotowire.com Today, 2:41 pm
  • Brewers summon reliever Joel Kuhnel on Tuesday
Brewers selected the contract of RHP Joel Kuhnel from Triple-A Nashville.

Advice: Kuhnel will probably only be with Milwaukee for a couple days until veteran southpaw Dallas Keuchel reports following a trade from Seattle. The 29-year-old righty latched on with the Brewers earlier this month following his removal from Toronto’s 40-man roster. He’s made just one relief appearance this season in the big leagues, which was back in mid-April when he was with the Astros. Rotoworld Today, 2:28 pm
