      Logan Webb gave up four runs over seven innings on Saturday in a loss to the Yankees.

      Advice: Webb fell behind right away in this one when he served up a colossal two-run homer to Aaron Judge in the opening frame. He was tagged for a pair of additional runs in the third inning, but managed to escape further damage, and wound up still completing seven frames to spare San Francisco’s bullpen. He struck out six and only handed out one free pass. The 27-year-old workhorse will carry a strong 2.95 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 67/20 K/BB ratio across 79 1/3 innings (13 starts) into a challenging road matchup on Friday against the Rangers.       Webb (4-5) allowed four runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out six over seven innings, taking the loss Saturday versus the Yankees.

      Advice: Webb gave up a pair of runs in the first and third innings, but he was able to eat innings despite the loss. He threw 74 of 108 pitches for strikes, though this ended his run of four straight quality starts. Webb is at a 2.95 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 67:20 K:BB over 79.1 innings across 13 starts this season. After posting a 1.3 BB/9 last year, his walk rate has risen to 2.3 this year, which is in line with previous seasons. Webb is projected to make his next start on the road versus the Rangers.       Ryan (4-4) took the loss against Houston on Saturday, allowing five runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out four batters over five innings.

      Advice: Ryan was stung by the long ball in the loss, giving up a season-high four homers. He has allowed at least that many home runs in a start four times in his career, though he came into Saturday on pace for a career-best 0.9 HR/9.       Pasquantino went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run, an additional RBI and a double in Saturday's 7-3 loss to the Padres.

      Advice: Pasquantino twice gave the Royals a lead, first with a first-inning homer and then with an RBI single in the third, but that was the extent of the team's run production. The first baseman is heating up with three straight multi-hit efforts. He's gone 7-for-15 with four extra-base hits and six RBI in that span after batting just .148 over a 16-game stretch with no multi-hit performances. For the season, Pasquantino is slashing .242/.317/.434 with seven homers, 39 RBI, 27 runs scored, 15 doubles, one triple and no stolen bases through 56 contests.       Joe Ryan gave up five runs over five innings while picking up a loss to the Astros on Saturday.

      Advice: Ryan gave up eight hits, which is not great, and five of those hits left the park, which is worse. The 27-year-old was coming off an outstanding start against the Royals on Monday. This was anything but. He also walked two and struck out four in one of the worst outings of the season for Ryan. Expect better things for the right-hander against Pittsburgh next week.       Vinnie Pasquantino homered and drove in three runs in a loss for the Royals to the Padres on Saturday.

      Advice: Pasquantino hit a two-run shot off Randy Vasquez in the first inning to give Kansas City a 2-1 lead, and he gave the Royals another lead with an RBI single two innings later. The 26-year-old has driven home 39 runs over KC’s 60 games, and the homer was his seventh. The .242 average leaves a bit to be desired, but Pasquantino is capable of helping in several categories with his left-handed bat, as evidenced by this showing Saturday.     • Fernando Tatis Jr. has three hits, HR in victory
      Fernando Tatis Jr. homered and went 3-for-4 in a 7-3 win for the Padres over the Angels on Saturday.

      Advice: Tatis Jr. got the party started for the Padres with a solo homer in the first inning off Alec Marsh. The 25-year-old also singled twice and drew a walk for a four-reach day. Tatis hasn’t been spectacular in the first 60-plus games of the season, but he’s up to 10 homers, 30 RBI and six stolen bases with a .772 OPS.       Marcell Ozuna went 2-for-5 with two runs scored, a home run and four RBI against the Athletics on Saturday.

      Advice: The home run was Ozuna’s 17th of the season. Only Aaron Judge, Kyle Tucker and Gunnar Henderson have more. Only Jose Ramirez has more than Ozuna’s 53 RBI this year.       Tatis went 3-for-4 with a walk and a solo home run in Saturday's 7-3 win over Kansas City.

      Advice: Tatis opened the scoring in the first inning with a 422-foot solo shot off Alec Marsh, his 10th homer of the season. The 25-year-old Tatis has at least one hit in his last seven games, going 11-for-29 (.379) in that span.
