    • Isaac Paredes reaches three times in Rays’ win
Isaac Paredes went 2-for-3 with an RBI on Saturday, lifting the Rays to a 3-1 win over the Mets.

Advice: Paredes opened the scoring with a first-inning RBI single off Mets rookie starter Christian Scott. He reached base three times in the low-scoring affair and scored a pivotal insurance run in the eighth inning when José Caballero drew a bases-loaded free pass. The 25-year-old slugger is off to a nice start this season, batting .293 (34-for-116) with 16 runs scored, seven homers and 18 RBI through 31 contests. Rotoworld 27 minutes ago

    • Posts quality start Saturday
Suarez (6-0) collected the win Saturday versus the Giants, permitting three runs on seven hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out six.

Advice: There was a rain delay before the game and more inclement weather during the contest, but Suarez seemed undaunted as he became the first six-game winner in baseball (Tyler Glasnow joined him later Saturday). It speaks as to how well Suarez has pitched this season that this was easily his worst start since his first outing of the season when he allowed three runs in five innings. The three runs the left-hander gave up Saturday matched his total from his previous five starts. With a matchup versus the Marlins looming next week, Suarez has a good chance to keep rolling. • Andrew Abbott strikes out eight in loss to O’s
Andrew Abbott surrendered two runs over five innings on Saturday in a loss to the Orioles.

Advice: Abbott managed to hold Baltimore’s solid lineup to just a pair of solo homers, but it wasn’t enough as his Orioles counterpart John Means reeled off seven shutout frames to saddle him with a loss. He finished with a season-high eight strikeouts and didn’t hand out a free pass. He’ll bring a solid 3.32 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 35/11 K/BB ratio across 38 innings (seven starts) into a road matchup on Friday against the Giants. Rotoworld Today, 8:34 pm

    • Ranger Suárez cruises to easy win over Giants
Ranger Suárez gave up three runs over six innings on Saturday in a win over the Giants.

Advice: Suárez was staked to a commanding nine-run advantage by the start of the third inning at a rain-soaked Citizens Bank Park, and wound up cruising to a relatively easy victory, gobbling up six frames before handing an 11-run lead over to Philadelphia’s bullpen. The 28-year-old southpaw isn’t overpowering, but he’s been extremely effective this season, allowing three earned runs or fewer in seven consecutive starts. He’ll bring a sparkling 1.72 ERA, 0.72 WHIP and 46/6 K/BB ratio across 47 innings (seven starts) into a road tilt next Saturday against the free-falling Marlins. Rotoworld Today, 8:15 pm

    • Strikes out eight in loss
Abbott (1-4) took the loss to the Orioles on Saturday, allowing two runs on seven hits over five innings. He struck out eight without issuing a walk.

Advice: He retired eight straight batters at one point while showing great depth with his breaking pitches, but Jorge Mateo and Adley Rutschman touched him up for solo shots in the fourth and fifth innings, respectively, and that was enough to send Abbott to his fourth loss in five decisions. The lefty has now allowed multiple homers in three of his last four outings, but he still has a highly respectable 3.32 ERA and 1.16 WHIP in 38 innings this season. If Abbott can get the homer issue under control, he could take off, though that will be easier said than done as the weather heats up. Rotowire.com Today, 7:42 pm

    • Nico Hoerner homers, steals base in win Saturday
Nico Hoerner went 2-for-4 with a home run and a stolen base in a 6-5 win over the Brewers.

Advice: Hoerner put the Cubs on the board right away, taking Tobias Myers deep for a solo homer to lead off the first inning, his first homer of the season. He added a base hit to lead off the seventh, then stole second for his fifth steal of the season. The 26-year-old second baseman is heating up at the plate, with multiple hits in three of his last four games. Hoerner is slashing .286/.364/.397 with 20 runs scored and eight RBI across 143 plate appearances. Rotoworld Today, 2:02 pm

    • Gets breather against lefty
O'Hearn isn't in the Orioles' lineup Saturday against the Reds, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Advice: O'Hearn will stay put in the Orioles' dugout as the Reds send out lefty Andrew Abbott to start on the mound. Adley Rutschman will serve as Baltimore's DH while O'Hearn rests, allowing James McCann to start behind the plate. Rotowire.com Today, 1:51 pm

    • Brandon Drury (head) returns to lineup Saturday
Brandon Drury (head) is back in the starting lineup Saturday against the Guardians.

Advice: Drury was out of the lineup Wednesday and Friday because of a migraine issue, but he’s feeling well enough to play Saturday against the Guardians. Luis Rengifo is out of the lineup with Drury returning. Rotoworld Today, 12:10 pm

    • Back in action Saturday
Drury (migraine) is starting at second base and batting fifth Saturday against Cleveland, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports.

Advice: A migraine has kept Drury out of the Angels' last two games, but the issue appears to have subsided ahead of Saturday's contest. The 31-year-old has been in a slump at the plate recently, going just 2-for-23 across his last seven games. Rotowire.com Today, 11:58 am
