    • Homers in second straight game
Stanton went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run Wednesday in an 11-5 win over the Royals.

Advice: Stanton flexed his power with a 449-foot two-run blast in the fifth inning. It was his second straight game with a home run after an ugly weekend set against the Dodgers during which he went 0-for-14 with seven punchouts. Stanton is up to 17 homers and 40 RBI on the campaign along with a .233/.288/.491 slash line. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:42 pm
    • Close call in ninth save
Yates allowed a run on two hits and a walk over one inning to earn the save in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Yates wasn't sharp in the ninth inning, putting runners on first and second with two outs. Jason Heyward doubled to center field to knock in one run, but Andy Pages ignored a stop sign at third base and the relay throw from Marcus Semien to Jonah Heim was in time to get the final out at the plate. Prior to Wednesday, Yates was on a six-inning scoreless streak dating back to May 15, though he had just one save in that span due to the Rangers' generally poor play. For the season, he's at a 1.16 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 29:11 K:BB through 23.1 innings while adding nine saves and two holds. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:52 pm
    • Kirby Yates holds on for ninth save vs. Dodgers
Kirby Yates allowed one run in the ninth inning for the save against the Dodgers on Wednesday.

Advice: Yates was summoned in the ninth inning to close out the game with a two-run lead. He put two runners on with a hit and a walk with two outs before Jason Hayward doubled to bring home a run. Andy Pages would be called out at home on the play to end the game. Yates picks up his ninth save of the season while posting a 1.16 ERA, 0.90 WHIP, and a 29/11 K/BB ratio across 23 1/3 innings. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:12 pm
    • Locks down 12th save
Doval earned the save Wednesday against the Astros, striking out one in a perfect ninth inning.

Advice: Doval's held opponents scoreless in six of his last seven outings while improving to 12-for-14 in save opportunities this year. He lowered his ERA to 3.62 with a 1.54 WHIP and 35:19 K:BB across 27.1 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:27 pm
    • Struggles again Wednesday
Olson (1-8) allowed five runs (four earned) on 10 hits across 5.1 innings to take the loss Wednesday against the Nationals. He walked two and struck out three.

Advice: Although this wasn't as bad as his last outing, when he allowed eight runs on 12 hits over four innings, this still wasn't a great performance from Olson. The righty has now sustained losses in his last three starts, and he has a 10.43 ERA during the rough stretch. It's quite a reversal for Olson, as he had a 1.92 ERA across his first 10 appearances of the season. Fantasy managers will hope he gets back on track in his next scheduled start, which is tentatively set for Monday against a tough Atlanta lineup on the road. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:09 pm
    • Giancarlo Stanton goes yard in blowout win
Giancarlo Stanton went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer against the Royals on Wednesday.

Advice: Stanton took Daniel Lynch deep for a two-run shot in the fifth inning to extend the Yankees big lead over the Royals. He then knocked a base hit in the seventh and scored on a three-run blast by Gleyber Torres. It was Stanton’s second straight game with two hits and one homer. The 34-year-old slugger is slashing .233/.288/.491 with 17 homers and 40 RBI across 250 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:03 pm
    • Labors in no-decision
Assad did not factor into the decision in Wednesday's 4-3 win over Tampa Bay, allowing two runs on five hits and two walks with four strikeouts over 4.2 innings.

Advice: Assad opened with two scoreless frames then allowed a run in the third on a double by Isaac Paredes and another on a solo home run by Jose Siri in the fourth. With two runners on and two outs in the fifth, Assad was pulled at 90 pitches with a 2-1 deficit. Since his last win on May 15, Assad has failed to reach six innings or record a win in five straight outings and has seen his ERA climb from 1.49 to 2.81. He tentatively lines up for a home matchup against the Giants next Monday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:44 pm

    • Javier Assad lifted in fifth versus Rays
Javier Assad was lifted after allowing two runs in 4 2/3 innings Wednesday against the Rays.

Advice: Tyson Miller stranded two runners after taking over for Assad in the fifth. After opening the season 4-0 with a 1.49 ERA in nine starts, Assad has gone 0-2 with a 5.32 ERA in his last five turns. The truth for Assad is somewhere in between, of course, but it’s probably a little closer to the latter than the former. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:14 pm

    • Jake Irvin strikes out five in victory over Tigers
Jake Irvin was terrific in Wednesday’s victory over the Tigers, allowing just one run on six hits over six stellar frames.

Advice: The 27-year-old hurler piled up five strikeouts on the night while allowing only one base on balls. The lone tally against him in this one came on a solo blast off the bat of Matt Vierling in the opening inning. Aside from that, he dominated the rest of the night. Irvin generated eight swings and misses on 98 pitches in the ballgame, registering a strong CSW of 34 percent. He’ll carry an impressive 3.00 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and a 69/15 K/BB ratio (81 innings) into Tuesday’s matchup against the Diamondbacks. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:40 pm
