      Paxton (7-2) allowed nine runs on 12 hits and two walks over four innings Sunday, striking out four and taking a loss against the Giants.

      Advice: Paxton gave up four runs through three frames before the Giants piled on with a five-run fourth inning. The veteran southpaw had a very odd month of June; he gave up six earned runs in 1.2 innings against the Pirates on June 5 but allowed just two total runs over his next three outings before Sunday's unraveling. Overall, he posted a 6.46 ERA this month, raising his season mark to 4.28 through 15 starts. Paxton's next start is currently lined up to be at home against the Brewers.       Zach Neto crushed a three-run homer on Sunday in the Angels’ loss to the Tigers.

      Advice: Neto kick-started a ninth-inning rally for the Angels on Sunday afternoon that came up just short as they nearly erased a six-run deficit with five runs in the final frame. Neto played a pivotal role in the comeback with a 414-foot moonshot -- his 11th big fly of the season -- off Tigers reliever Shelby Miller. The 23-year-old former top prospect is quietly putting together an impressive full-season debut with a .738 OPS to go along with 11 homers and 11 steals in 300 plate appearances over 81 games.       De La Cruz went 2-for-5 with a home run and two runs scored in Sunday's 7-6 loss against Philadelphia.

      Advice: De La Cruz broke out of a mini slump after going 4-for-28 over his last seven games with a nice showing Sunday. His 15 home runs in 82 games this season are just four behind the career high he set last season in 153 games.       Hendricks (1-6) took the loss Sunday against the Brewers, surrendering seven earned runs on seven hits and one walk in 3.2 innings. He struck out three.

      Advice: Hendricks kept the Brewers off the scoreboard over the first three innings before a disastrous fourth inning in which he gave up seven earned runs, including a grand slam to Brice Turang. The 34-year-old veteran was enjoying a renaissance in June, pitching to a 1.27 ERA, 0.80 WHIP, and 16:4 K:BB across 21.1 innings before Sunday's disaster.     • Big Maple gets lit up Sunday in loss to Giants
      James Paxton was torched for nine runs on 12 hits over four innings on Sunday in a loss to the Giants.

      Advice: Paxton gave up a couple early runs before the metaphorical wheels came off completely in the fourth inning when he was obliterated for five runs on four hits, including a two-run homer by Matt Chapman, and one free pass. The dozen hits allowed were a career-high for Paxton, who struck out four and handed out a pair of walks as well. The 35-year-old southpaw had allowed just two runs combined across 16 innings of work over his previous three starts dating back to June 11.       Bryan De La Cruz went 2-for-4 with a home run and two runs scored on Sunday against the Phillies.

      Advice: De La Cruz’s 15 home runs are incredibly sneaky. Just four off his career-high 19 he set last year, his 10.9 barrel rate suggest the power outburst is real. De La Cruz has always had tremendous physical tools and is now showing genuine, all-fields power.       Kyle Hendricks allowed seven runs in 3 2/3 innings and took the loss against the Brewers on Sunday.



      Advice: Hendricks gave up seven hits, walked one and struck out three. Hendricks cruised through the first three innings without allowing a run and then couldn’t make it out of the fourth inning. He gave up a two-run home run to Christian Yelich and an RBI single to Sal Frelick before the Brice Turang grand slam with two outs chased him from the game. Hendricks’ ERA is 7.48 and he’s won only one of his 10 starts for the Cubs. He’s too hittable at this point of his career to be usable in fantasy. The 34-year-old right-hander is set to face the Angels at home next weekend.
