    • Trea Turner (hamstring) might return on Sunday
Phillies manager Rob Thomson told reporters Trea Turner (hamstring) could potentially return on Sunday.

Advice: Turner continued running at full-speed on Saturday and could potentially be activated for Sunday’s series finale against the Orioles. It’s possible they’ll elect to wait until Monday’s series opener against the Padres, but it certainly appears that the 30-year-old superstar shortstop isn’t far off from returning for Philadelphia. • Return might come Monday
Turner (hamstring) could be activated from the 10-day injured list Sunday or Monday, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Advice: While the Phillies have been vague about a timeline for Turner's return, Gelb notes that the shortstop ran again Friday, and while he'll maybe" return Sunday, it will "probably" happen Monday instead, as Philadelphia begins a six-game homestand. Turner has been shelved since early May with a left hamstring strain, and it's looking like he'll skip a rehab assignment. Rotowire.com Friday, 1:57 pm

    • Trea Turner (hamstring) running at 100 percent
Trea Turner (hamstring) progressed to running at 100 percent on Thursday.

Advice: Turner is trending towards making his long-awaited return to Philadelphia’s lineup at some point early next week. It sounds like the 30-year-old shortstop will skip a minor-league rehab assignment, but it wouldn’t be shocking to see him get in a couple at-bats over the weekend prior to returning. • Getting day off
Gonzales is absent from the lineup for Thursday's game in St. Louis.

Advice: Gonzales looks to be getting a routine maintenance day after he had started in every game for the Pirates dating back to May 13. The second-year infielder recorded a double in both of the first two games of the series, giving him 12 extra-base hits through 119 plate appearances on the season. Jared Triolo will get the nod at second base Thursday while Gonzales rests. Rotowire.com Thursday, 8:36 am

    • Trea Turner (hamstring) trending towards next week
Trea Turner (hamstring) is trending toward a return to the Phillies’ lineup early next week.

Advice: The 30-year-old superstar shortstop ran the bases in Boston on Wednesday and will continue to do more running drills over the next few days. Phillies’ skipper Rob Thomson noted that it’s possible Turner could return before the weekend is through, but they aren’t going to rush him. It sounds like Edmundo Sosa’s viability from a fantasy perspective is coming to an abrupt end very soon. Rotoworld Wednesday, 3:39 pm

    • Reaches three times in win
Kim went 1-for-1 with two walks, two RBI and a stolen base in Monday's 6-1 victory against Oakland.

Advice: Kim gave San Diego its first lead with an RBI single in the fourth inning and plated the team's final run with a sacrifice fly in the seventh. The shortstop added a stolen base in the victory, giving him 14 on the campaign. Kim has struggled at the plate for much of the early part of the season but may be starting to heat up, going 4-for-12 with two homers, seven RBI and four walks over his past four contests. • Closing in on return
Turner (hamstring) said Sunday he's "getting close" to returning from the 10-day injured list, and it's possible he's activated within the next week, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Manager Rob Thomson indicated the shortstop is running at about 75-to-80 percent of full speed, which makes a return this week seem less likely. Turner isn't expected to embark on a rehab assignment before being reinstated, however, which shortens his potential return timeline. The 30-year-old will attempt to get back to running full speed this week in Boston, which could be one of the final hurdles before he's cleared for game action. Rotowire.com Jun 9, 12:01 pm
