    • Perez knocks in Tigers lone run Thursday
      Wenceel Perez went 1-for-4 with an RBI against the Blue Jays on Thursday.

      Advice: To say it was a quiet night for the Tigers offense would be an understatement. Detroit failed to record an extra-base hit on the night. Perez singled in the sixth inning to drive in Javier Baez and Carson Kelly was thrown out at home by Kevin Kiermaier on the same play.       Toro went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 5-4 win over the Rockies.

      Advice: Toro's bat was silent until the eighth inning when he sent out a home run to right field to give the A's their first lead of the night. He's racked up seven hits over his last five games and leads the majors with 28 hits in the month of May.       Abraham Toro hit a go-ahead homer in the bottom of the eighth Tuesday as the A’s came back to defeat the Rockies 5-4.

      Advice: Toro’s blast came after Seth Brown tied the game with a two-run homer in the seventh. Toro, who was supposed to become a reserve due to the J.D. Davis acquisition at the end of the spring, has won back his job by hitting .294/.344/.459 in 183 plate appearances.       Advice: Perez batted third and continued his strong start to the season, as he boosted his batting average to an even .300 and his OPS to .906. The versatile 24-year-old has settled in as the team's primary center fielder due to Parker Meadows being demoted to the minors.
