    • Teoscar Hernández goes 0-for-4 in loss to Arizona
Teoscar Hernández finished 0-for-4 in the loss to the Diamondbacks on Tuesday.

Advice: Hernández got a visit from the trainer after hurting his ankle while fielding a single in the second inning tonight, but he was able to finish the game without incident. His average dropped to .242 tonight, as he’s gone 7-for-39 with 13 strikeouts in his last 10 games. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:43 pm
    • Luis Rengifo hits two-run homers against Astros
Luis Rengifo had a two-run homer and an RBI single versus the Astros on Tuesday.

Advice: Rengifo definitely wasn’t Ron Washington’s favorite player at the beginning of the year, but he’s been one of the best Angels thus far, having hit .316/.366/.474 in 124 plate appearances. Statcast thinks he’s way overachieving, given that his exit velocity numbers are significantly worse than his career marks, but things will probably even out there somewhat; his .840 OPS won’t quite hold up, but his exit velocity numbers should get better. • Elly De La Cruz has game’s only RBI in win
Elly De La Cruz went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI in a win over the Padres on Tuesday.

Advice: The double accounted for the only RBI of the game, but it wasn’t particularly well hit at just 86 mph off the bat. It was just one of those nights where neither offense seemed to get anything going. The bigger news for De La Cruz was that he didn’t strike out on Tuesday after going 0-for-13 with eight strikeouts in the final three games of the Dodgers’ series. • Lars Nootbaar ejected from Tuesday’s game
Lars Nootbaar was ejected from Tuesday’s game against the Orioles for arguing balls and strikes.

Advice: Nootbaar didn’t agree with a called third strike in his first-inning at-bat and was tossed from the contest after returning to the dugout and continuing to voice his displeasure. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:00 pm

    • Max Muncy (oblique) resumes baseball activities
Max Muncy (oblique) has resumed baseball activities.

Advice: Muncy fielded grounders on Tuesday at Dodger Stadium as he works his way back from a right oblique strain that sent him to the injured list last week. It certainly doesn’t appear that he’s facing a lengthy absence, but oblique issues can be tricky. There should be a definitive timetable for his return at some point in the next few days. • Commences baseball activities
Muncy took some groundballs Tuesday as he started up baseball activities after his recent oblique strain, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Advice: The Dodgers placed Muncy on the 10-day injured list Friday due to a Grade 1 right oblique strain. According to manager Dave Roberts, Muncy sustained the strain in batting practice prior to Thursday's game. Before hitting the injured list, the third baseman was slashing .223/.323/.475 with nine home runs and 28 RBI over 167 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:10 pm

    • Elias Díaz returns to lineup Tuesday vs. A’s
Elias Díaz (hand) is back in the lineup for Tuesday’s series opener against the Athletics.

Advice: Díaz is back handling the catching duties for Colorado in Oakland following a four-game absence due to left hand soreness. The 33-year-old backstop was battling the ongoing issue for a couple weeks, so the hope here is that the extended layoff helps put the issue behind him. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:57 pm

    • Returns to lineup
Diaz (hand) is in the Rockies' lineup Tuesday versus the Athletics.

Advice: Diaz missed four consecutive games for the Rockies due to a hand injury, and he had an additional day to recover with the team day off Monday. Jacob Stallings was starting in his place, but the former will return to the bench Tuesday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:33 pm

    • Back in closer role Monday
Suarez picked up a save against Atlanta in the first game of a doubleheader Monday, retiring all three batters he faced in the ninth inning.

Advice: For most of the contest it seemed unlikely that Suarez would be deployed, as Atlanta got out to an early lead and was ahead 5-0 through four innings. However, San Diego fought back and took a one-run lead in the eighth, giving Suarez a chance to close things out in the ninth. He did so easily, needing just seven pitches to set down the side in order. Suarez had been used in the eighth inning to face the heart of Atlanta's order his previous time on the mound, but there's little doubt that he's San Diego's primary closer. The right-hander has registered a minuscule 0.44 ERA and 0.64 WHIP along with an 18:4 K:BB while racking up 13 saves in 13 chances on the season. Rotowire.com Monday, 11:01 pm
