    • Picks up second save
Adam gave up a run on two hits and struck out one in the ninth inning Friday to record his second save of the season in a 10-8 win over the Mets.

Advice: The right-hander has collected saves in back-to-back appearances, but he's looked a bit shaky both times. Adam served up a solo shot to Brett Baty on Friday before giving up a two-out double to Brandon Nimmo that brought the tying run to the plate. Adam's 1.80 ERA, 0.73 WHIP and 13:4 K:BB through 15 innings on the season remain impressive, but with Pete Fairbanks (forearm) set to begin a rehab assignment next week, he should return to setup duties before long. • Jason Adam closes out Mets on Friday night
Jason Adam picked up his second save of the season on Friday night, despite allowing a run in the ninth inning against the Mets.

Advice: The 32-year-old right-hander came on with a three-run lead to protect, but things got a bit tighter as he surrendered a one-out solo homer to Brett Baty. He also allowed a two-out double to Brandon Nimmo that brought the tying run to the plate, but was able to retire Starling Marte on strikes to end it. He has now converted two of his first three save chances while filling in for the injured Pete Fairbanks. His time in the ninth inning is seemingly coming to a close with Fairbanks expected to return on Tuesday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:40 pm

    • Converts 10th save
Suarez pitched a perfect ninth inning to lock down his 10th save of the year in a 6-4 win over the Reds on Tuesday. He struck out one.

Advice: Suarez continues to let Padres fans live in peace about letting Josh Hader walk this past offseason. He's now a perfect 10-for-10 in save opportunities and is tied with Ryan Helsley atop the league. Suarez now owns an 0.71 ERA, 0.87 WHIP and 11:4 K:BB in 12.2 innings. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 5:01 am
    • Robert Suarez gets 10th save in 10 chances
Robert Suarez earned his 10th save with a perfect ninth against the Reds on Tuesday.

Advice: The Padres haven’t missed Josh Hader thus far, though it would have been nice if they had redistributed Hader’s money to the offense. Suarez is 10-for-10 saving games with a 0.71 ERA in 12 2/3 innings. Rotoworld Tuesday, 10:05 pm
    • Escapes with save
Adam allowed a hit and a walk in a scoreless inning Monday. He struck out two and earned a save over the Brewers.

Advice: Adam also hit a batter and faced a bases-loaded situation with two outs but still narrowly finished off the 1-0 win. It was his first save of the year after blowing his only other chance April 5 against the Rockies. Adam now owns a 1.29 ERA with a 12:4 K:BB and seven holds through 14 innings. • Works two frames for hold
Adam struck out two across two scoreless innings without allowing a baserunner to earn a hold Wednesday against the Tigers.

Advice: Adam was the presumed closer with Pete Fairbanks (arm) sidelined, but he instead was used in the highest-leverage spot. He entered the game in the seventh inning to face the top of the Tigers' order and protect a two-run lead. Adam was very effective and picked up his seventh hold of the campaign, but Garrett Cleavinger was ultimately the reliever to pick up the save. Rotowire.com Thursday, 6:57 am

    • Picks up save No. 9
Suarez earned a save against the Rockies on Wednesday, striking out one batter in a perfect inning.

Advice: Suarez needed just seven pitches (five of which were strikes) to set the Rockies down in order and preserve a three-run San Diego victory. The right-hander extended his streak of scoreless outings to nine and lowered his sterling ERA to 0.77. Suarez has been one of the league's best closers so far this season with nine saves (tied for first in MLB). Rotowire.com Wednesday, 11:43 pm
    • Robert Suarez locks down ninth save vs. Rockies
Robert Suarez struck out one batter in a perfect ninth inning to secure the save against the Rockies.

Advice: Suarez was given a three-run lead to protect in the ninth inning. He worked quickly, striking out one batter and closing it out on seven pitches for his league-leading ninth save of the season. The 33-year-old right-hander holds a 0.77 ERA, 0.94 WHIP, and a 10/4 K/BB ratio across 11 2/3 innings. Rotoworld Wednesday, 8:10 pm
