    • Rafael Devers doubles twice versus Twins
Rafael Devers doubled twice, drove in Boston’s only two runs and walked Friday against the Twins.

Advice: The second double, hit 409 feet to center, would have been a homer in 20 ballparks, according to Statcast. Devers is off to a very good start at .300/.429/.500, but he has just 10 RBI in 98 plate appearances. Rotoworld Friday, 8:55 pm
    • Notches fourth homer
Cabrera went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run and a stolen base during Wednesday's 2-0 win over the Orioles.

Advice: Cabrera tagged Corbin Burnes for a two-run shot in the fifth inning, plating Jose Trevino for the Yankees' only runs. The long ball was Cabrera's first since April 13. His two hits were his first of the series, entering Wednesday's contest 0-for-7 in the first two games of the four-game bill. Through 110 plate appearances, Cabrera is slashing .262/.300/.417 with 18 RBI and two stolen bases. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 9:58 pm

    • Oswaldo Cabrera powers Yankees past Orioles
Oswaldo Cabrera swatted a two-run homer off of Corbin Burnes on Wednesday night, powering the Yankees to a 2-0 victory over the Orioles in Baltimore.

Advice: Cabrera accounted for the only scoring for either team in the ballgame, poking a 352-foot (103.3 mph EV) two-out, two-run homer just over the wall in right field and just inside the foul pole to give the Yankees a 2-0 lead in the fifth inning. He also singled in the ballgame and swiped a base, finishing the night 2-for-3. On the season, the versatile 25-year-old is now hitting .262/.300/.417 with four homers, 18 RBI and a pair of stolen bases. Rotoworld Wednesday, 6:09 pm

    • Goes deep Tuesday
Smith went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk and scored twice during Tuesday's 7-1 win over the Nationals.

Advice: Smith's second-inning single and sixth-inning solo shot give the 26-year-old infielder his third multi-hit game in his last five contests. He is 7-for-14 two homers, three RBI and three runs scored during that stretch and now boats an impressive .917 OPS on the season while filling in as Josh Jung's (wrist) replacement. • Josh Smith homers as Rangers down Nationals
Josh Smith went 2-for-3 with a home run and two runs scored in Tuesday’s win over the Nationals.

Advice: Smith hit his second homer of the season, a solo blast, off of Jordan Weems in the bottom up the sixth to give the Rangers a 3-1 lead. It was the second of two hits for Smith on the night, as the young third baseman has filled in admirably for Josh Jung and is now slashing .317/.417/.500 through the first month of the season. With Jung out for at least 4-6 more weeks, Smith should continue to have some low-end fantasy upside batting in a Rangers offense that ranked 14th in runs scored heading into the day. • Not in Sunday's lineup
Smith is out of the lineup for Sunday's game versus the Reds.

Advice: Smith has been surprisingly productive this season with an .852 OPS through 27 games, but he'll take a seat for Sunday's contest. Davis Wendzel will step in at the hot corner and bat seventh. Rotowire.com Sunday, 10:05 am

    • Heating up at plate
Devers went 3-for-5 with a run scored in Thursday's 6-4 loss to Cleveland.

Advice: Devers produced a second consecutive three-hit effort after missing five games with a knee injury. He's gone 6-for-9 with a double, home run, two RBI and two runs scored in his two games back. The downtime appears to have given the balky shoulder he was dealing with during Boston's homestand last week time to heal, but Devers has yet to resume playing third base. According to Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe, manager Alex Cora said prior to Thursday's game that Devers is likely to remain the Red Sox's designated hitter through Friday before potentially returning to action at third base Saturday versus the Cubs. • Homers in loss
Smith started at shortstop and went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's 4-3 loss to Seattle.

Advice: Smith launched his first homer of the season in the fourth inning, which tied the game momentarily before the Mariners plated two a half-inning later. He got the start at shortstop while primary starter Corey Seager served as DH a day after he left a game with a bruised shin. If Seager is limited to DH for a bit, Smith will be the primary fill-in at short. If Seager is ready for a defensive role, then Smith will go back to sharing third base with Ezequiel Duran. Smith is batting .292/.393/.417 over 84 plate appearances, much better than his previous two MLB seasons. Rotowire.com Thursday, 5:59 pm

    • Josh Smith homers and doubles in loss to Mariners
Josh Smith homered and doubled in a loss to the Mariners on Thursday.

Advice: Smith picked up one of two homers the Rangers hit off of Luis Castillo, and his was a solo shot that tied the game at 2-2. The left-handed hitting infielder is off to a strong start with the bat to open 2023, as the two extra-base hits has him slashing .292/.393/.417 over 72 at-bats. Rotoworld Thursday, 1:59 pm
