  • Max Muncy (oblique) resumes baseball activities
Max Muncy (oblique) has resumed baseball activities.

Advice: Muncy fielded grounders on Tuesday at Dodger Stadium as he works his way back from a right oblique strain that sent him to the injured list last week. It certainly doesn’t appear that he’s facing a lengthy absence, but oblique issues can be tricky. There should be a definitive timetable for his return at some point in the next few days. • Nolan Jones dealing with right knee soreness
Nolan Jones (back) has paused a minor league rehab assignment with Triple-A Albuquerque due to right knee soreness.

Advice: Jones underwent a precautionary MRI that came back clean, but will still have his rehab assignment paused for at least a few days to rest and recover before getting back into game action. The 26-year-old slugger has been on the shelf since late April due to a lower back strain after slashing a lackluster .170/.243/.277 with one homer and two steals in 26 contests. According to manager Dave Roberts, Muncy sustained the strain in batting practice prior to Thursday's game. • Rehab halted
The Rockies have halted the rehab assignment in Triple-A Albuquerque for Jones (back) because of right knee soreness sustained on a slide, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

Advice: A MRI came back clean for Jones, but he will rest a few days before getting back on the field. The outfielder was placed on the 10-day injured list April 30 with a low-back strain. He was then able to kick off his rehab assignment May 15. It seemed like the 26-year-old was nearing a return and was expected to be recalled after Sunday's game with Triple-A Albuquerque, but the injury on the slide has postponed that. • Joins Giants' roster
The Giants added McKenna to the 26-man roster Tuesday.

Advice: McKenna is in the starting lineup for the Giants as the right fielder and batting seventh. He was claimed off waivers by the Giants from Baltimore Saturday. The outfielder was pushed off the Orioles' 40-man roster May 13 to make room for Austin Hays. McKenna, who owns a .224/.302/.332 career slash line across four seasons in the majors, now gets another shot with San Francisco. The 27-year-old provides depth to the Giants outfield that is now without Jung Hoo Lee (shoulder) for the rest of the season. Rotowire.com 51 minutes ago
