    • Kodai Senga plays catch on field Tuesday
      Kodai Senga (shoulder) played catch on the field prior to the doubleheader against the Dodgers on Tuesday.

      Advice: It’s the first time that Senga has been able to play catch since he was shut down with inflammation in his triceps. The right-hander has been on the 60-day injured list since the start of the season because of shoulder issues, and the expectation now is that Senga won’t be able to return for the Mets — and fantasy players — until around the All-Star break.       Senga (shoulder) may not be ready to return from the 60-day injured list until after the All-Star break, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.

      Advice: The right-hander has had a couple delays and setbacks during his recovery from a posterior right capsule strain. After getting a cortisone injection late last week, Senga played catch on flat ground for the first time Tuesday, per Anthony DiComo of MLB.com. Still, the 31-year-old is essentially back to square one with his throwing program. Given that Senga will likely need about six weeks to ramp back up and get game ready, a mid-July return would seem to be the best-case scenario.       Schwarber went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, a walk and a stolen base in Monday's loss to San Francisco.

      Advice: Schwarber put the Phillies on the board in the third inning with a two-run shot off reigning NL Cy Young Award winner Blake Snell. It was his fourth homer against a lefty this season, and he's now batting a lofty .333 (27-for-71) against southpaw hurlers.       Goldschmidt went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 3-1 loss to the Reds.

      Advice: Goldschmidt has homered three times over his last two games, though it's still too early to say he's completely out of the woods for his slow start to the campaign. He's shown some encouraging signs, hitting safely in all but one of his last 14 games while going 18-for-61 (.295) in that span. The first baseman is up to seven homers, 22 RBI, 26 runs scored and three stolen bases with a .222/.297/.359 slash line over 50 contests this season.       Young went 3-for-4 with a stolen base and one RBI in Monday's 8-4 victory over Atlanta.

      Advice: Young hit three singles and added his 12th RBI of the season in the sixth inning. Most importantly to fantasy owners, the Washington center fielder swiped his 16th base, moving him into a tie for fourth place in the majors. Overall, Young sports a .275/.329/.328 slash line in 146 plate appearances with 23 runs scored. He should continue to play full time despite Lane Thomas (knee) returning Monday, as the Nationals designated Victor Robles for assignment to open a roster spot for Thomas.       Parker (4-2) earned the win Monday against Atlanta, allowing three runs on five hits and no walks over 6.1 innings. He struck out six.

      Advice: With a 100-pitch effort, Parker tossed his second straight quality start and third of the season. The Nationals starter generated a solid 17 whiffs to collect his six strikeouts. The 24-year-old lefty continues an impressive rookie campaign, now owning a 3.45 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 38:8 K:BB in 44.1 innings.       Paul Goldschmidt hit his third homer in two days to give the Cardinals their only run Monday against the Reds.

      Advice: Goldschmidt didn’t crush this one; technically, it wasn’t even a hard-hit ball at 94.3 mph. He hit it to the right spot, though. This little outburst has led to calls that Goldschmidt is back, but we want to see the K rate drop some before we buy into that.       Adames went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer in Monday's victory over the Cubs.

      Advice: Adames popped his first home run since May 7 when he crushed a 427-foot, three-run shot off Hayden Wesneski in the eighth inning. The Brewers shortstop hopes the homer turns his month around, as he entered the game slashing .213/.253/.404 over 99 plate appearances in May. Overall, Adames is hitting .249/.322/.440 with eight home runs, 27 runs scored and 35 RBI in 233 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Monday, 5:38 pm

      Kyle Schwarber went 2-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base and a two-run home run against the Giants on Monday.



      Advice: The home run was Schwarber’s 10th of the season and the stolen base was his third. He’s been heating up lately as he’s 10-for-25 (.385) over his last seven games. The home run was Schwarber’s first since May 6th. His power has been down this season, but he’s been known to hit home runs in bunches. Maybe this could be the start of a hot streak for Schwarber.
