    • Phil Maton closes out Twins on Wednesday night
Phil Maton slammed the door on the Twins on Wednesday evening, working a perfect 10th inning to preserve a one-run advantage.

Advice: The Rays scratched out a run on a Royce Lewis miscue in the top half of the 10th inning, then Maton came on and made sure that it would stand up. He got Royce Lewis on a ground ball to third base, punched out Max Kepler and got Carlos Correa to fly out to left to end it — needing only five pitches (all strikes) to get the job done. Jason Adam worked the ninth inning with Pete Fairbanks (thumb) sidelined and picked up the victory in the game. For Maton, it’s his second save of the season. Rotoworld 27 minutes ago
    • Taj Bradley delivers quality start against Twins
Taj Bradley delivered a quality start in a no-decision against the Twins on Wednesday night, allowing just two runs on seven hits over six strong frames.

Advice: The 23-year-old right-hander punched out three batters in the ballgame while issuing a pair of free passes. The Twins threatened in the third inning and pushed a run across as Trevor Larnach grounded into a double play. They tacked on another run in the sixth inning as Royce Lewis belted a solo home run. Bradley got nine whiffs on 104 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of only 21 percent. He’ll carry a 4.06 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 53/14 K/BB ratio (44 1/3 innings) into Monday’s tilt against the Mariners. • Joe Ryan pitches well in no-decision vs. Rays
Joe Ryan was terrific in a no-decision against the Rays on Wednesday evening, surrendering just one run on six hits over his six innings of work.

Advice: The 28-year-old hurler struck out five batters on the night while allowing only one base on balls. The lone tally against him came on a 359-foot solo blast off the bat of Isaac Paredes in the third inning. Ryan generated a whopping 19 swings and misses on 94 pitches in the ballgame — 12 of those on his fastball — while registering a strong CSW of 36 percent. The right-hander will carry a terrific 3.13 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and a 95/15 K/BB ratio (92 innings) into Tuesday’s matchup against the Diamondbacks in Arizona. Rotoworld 27 minutes ago

    • Kirby Yates secures 11th save
Kirby Yates pitched a clean ninth inning with a strike out in a win over the Mets on Wednesday.

Advice: Yates worked a pain-free ninth after struggling on Tuesday against this same Mets lineup in a tie game. He’s been one of the best closers in the league since earning the role in April with a sterling 1.03 ERA and 0.91 WHIP. Rotoworld 31 minutes ago

    • Andrew Heaney strikes out nine Mets
Andrew Heaney allowed three earned runs in six innings against the Mets on Wednesday. He struck out nine and walked two in a no-decision.

Advice: Heaney has sneakily been decent this season - go figure it’s the first year he wasn’t listed in every sleeper and breakout list. He simplified his repertoire in this one with season-high 91% of his pitches being either a fastball or slider, a season-high. It worked here as the Mets could not figure him out. He’ll take a 4.21 ERA into his next start against the Brewers. Rotoworld 33 minutes ago

    • Sean Manaea solid, but unravels in sixth inning
Sean Manaea allowed three earned runs in 5 2/3 innings on Wednesday against the Rangers. He struck out six and walked three in a loss.

Advice: Manaea had a no-hitter going in this one through five innings and retired 14 straight after a shaky first inning. Yet, his inability to get through a lineup for the third time did him and the Mets in. Hopefully you don’t play in a quality start league if you roster Manaea because this is now 11 of 14 starts where he failed to complete six innings. Rotoworld 34 minutes ago

    • Strikes out 12 in win
Bibee (5-2) earned the win against the Mariners on Wednesday, allowing three hits and one walk while striking out 12 over six scoreless innings.

Advice: Bibee was dominant, generating 20 swinging strikes on 93 pitches and surpassing last week's career high in strikeouts with 12. Bibee had allowed seven total runs in his first two June starts, but he bounced back in a big way Wednesday and has registered 30 strikeouts over 16.1 innings in three June outings. On the season, Bibee owns a 3.65 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 99:21 K:BB through 81.1 innings and tentatively lines up against the Orioles early next week. Rotowire.com 35 minutes ago

    • Pulled after four innings in loss
Woo (3-1) took the loss to the Guardians on Wednesday, allowing three runs on four hits and one walk with one strikeout over four innings.

Advice: Woo struggled early, allowing an RBI single by Josh Naylor in the first inning and a two-run home run by Steven Kwan in the second. He rebounded with two scoreless innings but was pulled after just 64 pitches with a 3-0 deficit. Considering he hasn't pitched since June 6 with a forearm injury, the Mariners were likely just being cautious with Woo's workload. Woo still owns a sparkling 1.67 ERA and 0.61 WHIP in 37.1 innings, but his current 5.97 K/9 is well below his 9.55 rate last season. He tentatively lines up to face the Rays early next week. • Josh Hader locks down 10th save Wednesday
Josh Hader tossed a scoreless ninth inning with one strikeout to record the save against the White Sox on Wednesday.

Advice: Hader was summoned to close out the game with a three-run lead in the ninth against the White Sox. He worked around a base hit, striking out one batter to end the game with his tenth save of the season. Rotoworld 41 minutes ago
