• Tweaks groin Monday
Tauchman (groin) left Monday's contest with the Giants in the bottom of the third inning with left groin tightness, Taylor McGregor of Marquee Sports Network reports.

Advice: Tauchman hustled down the line to beat out an infield single in the bottom of the third, tweaking his left groin in the process. The 33-year-old will likely undergo imaging Monday night to determine the severity of the injury. Pete Crow-Armstrong would likely see more playing time if Tauchman is out of action for a period. • Leaves early Monday
Tauchman (undisclosed) exited Monday's contest with the Giants in the bottom of the third inning, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Tauchman pulled up lame after legging out a two-out infield single in the bottom of the third, leaving the game after going 1-for-1 with a walk in the contest. He appeared to be grabbing at his left leg, but an exact diagnosis will likely come before the end of Monday's contest. In the meantime, Patrick Wisdom replaced Tauchman in the Cubs' lineup at designated hitter. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:59 pm

  • Mike Tauchman leaves game with leg injury
Mike Tauchman left Monday’s game in the third inning with an apparent left leg injury.

Advice: Patrick Wisdom pinch-ran after Tauchman was hurt beating out an infield single. A Tauchman IL trip might give Pete Crow-Armstrong mixed-league value for a time. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:58 pm

  • Dodgers expect Betts (hand) to miss 6-8 weeks
The Dodgers’ current guess is that Mookie Betts will miss 6-8 weeks with a fractured left hand.

Advice: Sounds about right. The Dodgers will mostly go with Miguel Rojas at shortstop for now; manager Dave Roberts said he’d start three of the four games in Colorado this week. Enrique Hernández figures to get the nod in the other. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:23 pm
  • Back on bench Monday
Cave is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Dodgers.

Advice: Cave had started in 11 of the Rockies' last 12 games, but he'll head to the bench with Nolan Jones having returned from the injured list and with Brenton Doyle (knee) back in the lineup after a two-game absence. Though Cave has turned in a serviceable .250/.341/.389 slash line thus far in June, he could be relegated to a bench role now that Colorado has reclaimed some health in the outfield. • Likely to miss 6-to-8 weeks
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Monday that the expectation is Betts (wrist) will be sidelined 6-to-8 weeks, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The timeline is a rough estimate, as Roberts noted that much will depend on how Betts' fractured left wrist heals in the coming weeks. If Roberts' suggested timetable holds true, that means Betts will be out at least until late July. Miguel Rojas is expected to be the Dodgers' regular shortstop while Betts is on the shelf. • Sitting again, viewed as day-to-day
Smith is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Mets while he continues to recover from what he described as "lower glute/upper hamstring" tightness, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Rangers manager Bruce Bochy had previously said that Smith was dealing with general tightness, but the 26-year-old provided more specifics about the nature of his injury. Though Smith is on the bench Monday for a fourth straight game, he said he's improving every day and expects to rejoin the lineup within the next few days. Ezequiel Duran will spell Smith at third base Monday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:33 pm

  • LaMonte Wade (hamstring) doubtful for Thursday
LaMonte Wade Jr. probably isn’t going to be able to make it back into the Giants lineup for the Rickwood game in Alabama on Thursday.

Advice: Wade has been aiming to play in the contest, but his strained left hamstring isn’t quite ready yet. The Giants have been getting by with Wilmer Flores and Trenton Brooks at first base. Brooks will most likely be demoted once Wade is ready. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:32 pm

  • Resting Monday
Pillar is not in the starting lineup for Monday's series opener against the Brewers, Brent Maguire of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Pillar will begin Monday's game in the dugout after starting in each of the Angels' last seven games. Pillar is slashing .340/.381/.594 with six home runs and 25 RBI over 106 at-bats with the Halos this season, though he's gone 9-for-40 since June 1. With Pillar on the bench Monday, Willie Calhoun will serve as the designated hitter while Jo Adell starts in right field against Brewers right-hander Carlos Rodriguez. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:28 pm
