      Jesse Winker was pulled from Friday night’s contest against the Rays

      Advice: The 30-year-old outfielder injured his knee while making a terrific catch in the outfield to end the home half of the first inning. Fortunately, he avoided any structural damage and is hopeful that he’ll be able to return to the Nationals’ lineup on Saturday. For now, he should be considered day-to-day.       Winker was removed from Friday's game against the Rays with what appears to be a right ankle injury, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

      Salvador Perez went 2-for-3 against the Guardians on Thursday.

      Advice: Perez has hit safely in four consecutive games. He’s seen his average drop from .321 at the end of May to .283. The Royals lineup desperately needs his bat to wake up again.       Caballero went 3-for-3 with a run scored Wednesday against the Mariners.

      Advice: He looked to be the odd man out when Taylor Walls returned from the injured list, but Caballero has started in three straight games and four of the Rays' last five games. In part, that's because Brandon Lowe (toe) has been sidelined, though the Rays have also played Caballero at third base and shortstop during his recent uptick in playing time.       Henderson went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional RBI in a 4-2 win against Cleveland on Wednesday.

      Advice: Henderson knocked in Baltimore's first two runs with a single in the second inning and a solo shot to center field in the fifth. The talented young shortstop has gone deep eight times over 24 games in June, including four times across his past six contests. Henderson ranks second in the majors with 26 homers through 79 games on the campaign and needs just two more long balls to match the 28 home runs he belted over 150 contests last year.       Gunnar Henderson went 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBI on Wednesday against the Guardians.

      Advice: This man is a revelation. He drove in the Orioles’ only runs until the seventh inning in this game. His 26 home runs trail only Aaron Judge. He joined Judge, Shohei Ohtani, and Juan Soto as the only players with an OPS over 1.000. He also has 13 stolen bases, 70 runs scored, and 57 RBI while playing elite shortstop defense.     • Brent Rooker doubles in loss
      Brent Rooker went 2-for-4 with a double on Wednesday against the Angels.

      Advice: The Athletics keep losing, but Rooker keeps hitting. The double was his 32nd extra-base hit of the season and his OPS has climbed up to .845, 20th in the league among qualified players.     • Swats homer Tuesday
      Soto went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, an additional run and two walks in Tuesday's loss to the Mets.

      Advice: Soto plated the Yankees' first run with his solo shot in the fifth inning, though the Mets had already built a big lead by that time. The long ball was the first extra-base hit over the outfielder's past eight games, and he's batted an uncharacteristically poor .160 (4-for-25) during that stretch. Soto has continued to reach base consistently, however, due to his willingness to take a walk -- across the eight-game span, he's accumulated an 11:6 BB:K, and he leads the league with 65 total walks on the season.     • Connor Joe gets start in right versus righty
      Connor Joe is in the Pirates lineup Wednesday for the first time in five games.

      Advice: Joe was playing regularly against righties last month, but a slump changed that, and since the Pirates have been in a stretch in which they’ve faced righties in 17 of 19 games, he hasn’t had a big role.
