    • Converts 10th save
Sewald allowed a hit in a scoreless inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 5-4 win over the Twins.

Advice: Sewald needed 17 pitches (nine strikes) to close out this contest, earning his 10th save in as many chances this year. He's on a 13.2-inning scoreless streak -- the only run he's allowed this year came in his season debut after he started the year on the injured list. Sewald has maintained a stellar 0.61 ERA, 0.55 WHIP and 12:3 K:BB over 14.2 innings this season. Rotowire.com 19 minutes ago

    • Paul Sewald notches 10th save against Twins
Paul Sewald recorded his 10th save with a scoreless ninth inning Tuesday against the Twins.

Advice: Sewald gave up a two-out double to Byron Buxton, putting the tying run on base. Ryan Jeffers followed with a stinging liner to left, but it was hit right to Lourdes Gurriel Jr., ending the game. Statcast’s xBA, which only takes into account exit velocity and launch angle, said it had a 94% chance of becoming a hit. Rotoworld Today, 9:17 pm

    • Strikes out six in no-decision
Littell did not factor into the decision in Tuesday's 11-3 win over the Mariners, allowing two runs on four hits and one walk with six strikeouts over five innings.

Advice: Littell opened with four scoreless innings before allowing a two-run home run to Ty France in the fifth. He generated an impressive 14 swinging strikes on just 72 pitches and has rebounded from a rough start on June 14 by yielding just two runs in each of his past two outings. The 28-year-old owns a 4.17 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 82:16 K:BB this season and will try to record his first win since May 11 against the Royals next week. Rotowire.com Today, 8:58 pm

    • Zack Littell strikes out six in win
Zack Littell allowed two runs on four hits in five innings in a win over the Mariners on Tuesday.

Advice: Littell also struck out six and walked one while registering 14 whiffs on 38 swings for a 37 percent whiff rate and 33 percent CSW. His only mistake was on a two-run home run by Ty France in the fifth inning. That’s two straight solid starts for Littell, who has not pitched more than five innings since June 9th. He’ll take a 4.17 ERA into a start against the Royals next week. He can be started in most fantasy leagues for that one. Rotoworld Today, 6:35 pm

    • Collects save
Jax struck out two and allowed one hit in a scoreless inning to earn the save in Sunday's 3-0 win over the Athletics.

Advice: The Twins haven't had much need for their bullpen this weekend, as Bailey Ober tossed a complete game Saturday and Pablo Lopez went eight innings Sunday. Jax hadn't pitched since Thursday, so he was a little fresher than Jhoan Duran, who last pitched Friday, which likely explains manager Rocco Baldelli's decision. Jax has done well in a high-leverage role this year, posting a 2.10 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 46:8 K:BB over 34.1 innings. He's added seven saves and 12 holds, though he's likely to remain second in the hierarchy for closing duties. Rotowire.com Sunday, 7:03 pm

    • Punches out seven
Valdez (6-5) allowed a run on six hits and two walks over seven innings Sunday, striking out seven and earning a win against Baltimore.

Advice: Valdez rolled through five shutout frames without facing too much trouble before Jordan Westburg belted a solo shot in the sixth inning. The Astros gave Valdez plenty of run support as he halted a brief two-start losing streak. It was the third time this year he's struck out at least seven batters, and each of those outings have come in his last eight starts. He's produced an impressive 2.73 ERA through 33 innings this month, lowering his season mark to 3.68 across 80.2 frames. Valdez will carry a 63:26 K:BB into his next outing, which is projected to be on the road against the Mets. Rotowire.com Sunday, 6:47 pm

    • Griffin Jax closes out Athletics on Sunday
Griffin Jax registered his seventh save of the season on Sunday afternoon, working a scoreless ninth inning to protect a three-run lead against the Athletics.

Advice: It’s the second straight week that Jax has secured a save on Sunday. Jhoan Duran threw 19 pitches in a blown save against the A’s on Friday night, but neither of the two hurlers worked during Saturday’s game, so it was a bit surprising to see Jax and not Duran to close this one out. Other than posting elite ratios and nabbing the occasional save though, it’s hard to count on Jax for much more from a fantasy perspective while Duran is still the primary option in the ninth inning. • Framber Valdez dazzles against Orioles
Framber Valdez allowed one run on six hits in seven innings in a win over the Orioles on Sunday.

Advice: Valdez struck out seven and walked two on the day. He allowed just one extra-base hit, but it happened to be a solo home run to Jordan Westburg. The left-hander induced 11 whiffs on 45 swings for a 24 percent whiff rate and 34 percent CSW against a really talented offense. That’s now back-to-back really strong starts for Valdez after a rough outing against the Giants. He’ll carry a 3.68 ERA into a plus matchup against the Mets next week. • Max Fried keeps Yankees bats at bay
Max Fried allowed one run on six hits in six innings in a win over the Yankees on Sunday.

Advice: It wasn’t a dominant outing for the left-hander, but he allowed just one extra-base hit all day and was able to pitch his way out of any trouble that he found himself in. He induced just seven whiffs on 39 swings for an 18 percent whiff rate and 26 percent CSW, but that’s a pretty solid day against a good Yankees lineup. Fried is now 7-3 with a 3.00 ERA on the year and is set up for a solid start against the Pirates next week. Rotoworld Sunday, 2:27 pm
