• Nabs first win
Lee (1-1) picked up the win Thursday over the Cubs, striking out one in a scoreless inning of relief.

Advice: AJ Smith-Shawver got the start but lasted only 4.1 innings, handing the ball off to Lee in the fifth inning to continue what proved to be a combined shutout for Atlanta. Lee has been impressive in a low-leverage role this season, posting a 1.21 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 20:7 K:BB through 22.1 innings, but he has just one win and two holds in 14 appearances. • Optioned to Triple-A
The Twins optioned Boushley to Triple-A St. Paul on Thursday.

  • Starts rehab assignment
Saucedo (knee) struck out one over a scoreless inning Thursday in his first rehab appearance with Triple-A Tacoma.

Advice: Saucedo landed on the 15-day injured list a little over two weeks ago with a hyperextended right knee. Because he hasn't missed much time, the left-handed reliever shouldn't need more than a couple rehab appearances, setting himself up for a return within the next few days. • Grabs 10th save
Kimbrel picked up the save on Thursday, pitching a perfect two-thirds of an inning in an 8-6 victory over the White Sox.

Advice: It was actually Jonathan Heasley who came out to start the ninth inning after also appearing in the eighth, though he would quickly run into trouble after failing to retire the first four batters he faced in the frame. He would be relieved by Yennier Cano, but the latter would also struggle, allowing three runs to come across to make it an 8-6 ballgame. That's when Kimbrel came in to save the day, needing just two pitches to record the final two outs on a double play ball -- though Andrew Vaughn was technically called out on runner's interference for the last out. The veteran reliever has converted each of his three save attempts this month after blowing back-to-back saves to close out April. He also hasn't allowed any hits or walks in those save appearances while posting five strikeouts. Rotowire.com 55 minutes ago
  • Coughs up season-high five runs
Clevinger (0-3) took the loss against the Orioles on Thursday, allowing five runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out five over 4.2 innings.

Advice: Clevinger went 1-2-3 through Baltimore's lineup over the first two innings before he began to unravel in the third, surrendering two hits and two walks in the frame, which would lead to one run coming across for the Orioles. Things only got worse in the fourth when the right-hander gave up a leadoff homer to Anthony Santander, followed by a three-run shot from Jorge Mateo five batters later. Clevinger has now gone just 4.2 innings in each of his last three starts, posting five strikeouts in each of those outings. He's also given up at least three runs in three of his four starts and is still looking for his first win on the campaign. Rotowire.com Today, 6:32 am
  • Mariners send Saucedo (knee) on Triple-A rehab
Mariners sent Tyler Saucedo (knee) on rehab assignment with Triple-A Tacoma.

Advice: Saucedo is recovering from right knee hyperextension. The 30-year-old left-hander shouldn’t need many appearances with Triple-A before returning to the Mariners’ bullpen. Rotoworld Today, 6:02 am

Brewers send DL Hall (knee) on rehab assignment to Triple-A Nashville.

  • Earns fifth win
Rodriguez (5-1) earned the win over the White Sox on Thursday, allowing two runs on three hits and five walks over five innings while striking out seven.

Advice: Rodriguez ran into trouble out of the gate after surrendering a leadoff single to Tommy Pham to open the game. The right-hander would fail to retire four of the first six batters in the frame and even walked home the first run of the contest, but was able to escape without any further damage being done. His command issues would continue in the third when he issued a two-out walk and then hit Paul DeJong with a pitch in the following at-bat, eventually leading to Chicago's second run coming home on an Andrew Benintendi single. Rodriguez has now allowed just two runs over 11 innings since returning from the injured list, though his five walks Thursday marked a season high. He's now issued at least three free passes in three straight outings. Rotowire.com Today, 4:45 am
