    • Grabs four-out save
Beeks struck out two over 1.1 perfect innings to earn the save in Friday's 4-1 win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Beeks faced runners on the corners with two outs in the eighth inning after relieving Victor Vodnik, and he was able to strike out Freddie Freeman. Beeks stayed in for the ninth and kept his line clean to earn his second save in three outings. He allowed a run in four straight appearances from May 22-27, allowing Tyler Kinley to work his way into the closer conversation, but Beeks is still in the mix as well. He leads the Rockies with six saves and has added a 2.93 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 23:13 K:BB over 27.2 innings this season. Rotowire.com 9 minutes ago

    • Strong in second win
Hudson (2-7) allowed a run on four hits and a walk while striking out three over seven-plus innings in Friday's win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Hudson allowed three baserunners through seven innings, but he put the first two batters aboard in the eighth, and one of them came around to score. This was Hudson's second quality start in a row, and he's achieved that against the Phillies and the Dodgers, the two best teams in the National League. It's too soon to say the right-hander has turned his season around, especially with Coors Field as his home park, but he's pitched well lately. Hudson has a 5.02 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 31:29 K:BB through 57.1 innings over 11 starts on the year. He's projected for a home start versus the Reds his next time out. Rotowire.com 15 minutes ago

    • Andrés Muñoz locks down 12th save of season
Andrés Muñoz fired a scoreless ninth with two strikeouts to pick up a save Friday against the Angels.

    • José Soriano shaky in no-decision vs. Mariners
José Soriano gave up four runs in his six innings of work in a no-decision Friday against the Mariners.

Advice: Soriano allowed seven hits with a couple of walks while striking out three. this could have been a much worse outing based on how things went early on, as he allowed three runs in the first before settling down. The 25-year-old has now given up four runs in back-to-back starts, but in both of those outings there have been quality moments for Soriano. He’ll try and show more consistency in his scheduled start against San Diego next week. Rotoworld 23 minutes ago

    • Luke Weaver gets final five outs against Giants
Luke Weaver threw 1 2/3 scoreless frames in a relief appearance Friday against the Giants.

Advice: Weaver allowed just one hit with one strikeout. The right-hander has become a big part of the New York bullpen with a 2.78 ERA and sparkling 0.73 WHIP while composing a K/BB of 39/7. It’s a little surprising to see how good he’s been, but credit to the Yankees and Weaver into turning him into a legitimate high-leverage option. Rotoworld 29 minutes ago

    • Jordan Hicks shaky over 5 1/3 against Yankees
Jordan Hicks gave up eight hits and five runs — four earned — in 5 1/3 innings while picking up a loss to the Giants on Friday.

Advice: When Hicks wasn’t pitching to Aaron Judge, things went ok. Unfortunately, he pitched to Aaron Judge a few times, and he gave up two homers to the mountain of a slugger. Hicks did give up eight hits in this contest, so it wasn’t just Aaron Judge, but Aaron Judge did most of the damage. This blurb is just an excuse to talk more about Aaron Judge. Hicks will still take a strong 2.70 ERA into a start against the Diamondbacks. The Diamondbacks don’t have Aaron Judge. Rotoworld 29 minutes ago

    • Jalen Beeks gets sixth save against Dodgers
Jalen Beeks didn’t give up a run and picked up a save Friday against the Dodgers.

Advice: It’s the sixth save of the season for Beeks, and the first save where he didn’t allow a run since May 13. The left-hander does have a 2.93 ERA, and he’s been one of the few pleasant surprises for the Rockies in 2024. Rotoworld 41 minutes ago

    • Dakota Hudson holds Dodgers to one run in win
Dakota Hudson held the Dodgers to one run while working seven innings to help the Rockies to a 4-1 victory Friday.

Advice: Hudson scattered four hits while picking up three strikeouts, and he walked one. The right-hander didn’t give up a run until the eighth inning, and it came on a fielder’s choice off the bat of Mookie Betts after Hudson had left the game. It’s just the second win of the season for the 29-year-old, but he’s pitched relatively well as of late, with just three runs allowed over his 13 innings. Next up for Hudson is the Reds on Wednesday. • Secures 17th save
Suarez picked up the save Friday against Kansas City. He pitched one-third of an inning with no strikeouts, allowing no runs on one hit.

Advice: Suarez entered to collect the last out in a bases-loaded jam with a five-run lead. After yielding a two-RBI single to Freddy Fermin, the San Diego closer induced a Nelson Velazquez flyout to secure the win. Suarez is now tied with Emmanuel Clase for second in the majors with 17 saves, trailing Ryan Helsley by one. The 33-year-old righty has been brilliant as the Padres closer this year, firing a 0.72 ERA, 0.72 WHIP and 24:5 K:BB over 25 innings. Rotowire.com Today, 9:12 pm
