    • Kyle Gibson allows three unearned runs vs. O’s
Kyle Gibson was charged with three runs (zero earned) on Wednesday in a no-decision against the Orioles.

Advice: Gibson’s afternoon came to a close after just four frames due to an extended rain delay. He gave up five hits, struck out three and didn’t hand out a free pass. All of the damage against him came in the third inning following a one-out fielding error by defensive wizard Nolan Arenado. He’ll face the Reds on Tuesday in his next outing. • On bench against lefty
Rojas is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Yankees.

Advice: With lefty Nestor Cortes on the mound for the Yankees, the lefty-hitting Rojas will retreat to the bench after he had started in each of the Mariners' last eight games. Luis Urias will pick up a start at third base in Rojas' stead. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:01 pm

    • Heads to IL with strained hamstring
The White Sox placed Jimenez on the 10-day injured list Wednesday with a left hamstring strain.

Advice: Jimenez tweaked the hamstring while running the bases in Tuesday's game in Toronto. The severity of the strain isn't yet known, so it's unclear how much time the designated hitter might miss. Soft-tissue injuries continue to plague Jimenez, who also missed time with an adductor strain earlier this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:36 pm

    • White Sox lose Eloy Jiménez to IL due to hamstring
White Sox placed DH Eloy Jiménez on the 10-day injured list with a strained left hamstring.

Advice: So many leg injuries. Jiménez’s numbers aren’t great or even very good, but from an xwOBA perspective, he had really picked it up in recent weeks, and Statcast though he should have been slugging .465, rather than his current .381. The White Sox will put Gavin Sheets at DH while Jiménez is out, which at least will improve the defense. Corey Julks, Dominic Fletcher and Zach DeLoach will battle for at-bats in right. • Retreating to bench Wednesday
Springer is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the White Sox.

Advice: After sitting out three times in four-game stretch from May 10 through 13 while he recovered from an illness, Springer started in each of Toronto's last six games while going 3-for-20 with four walks and two doubles. Despite his lackluster production over the past week, Springer isn't believed to be dealing with any physical issues, so his absence from the lineup Wednesday is most likely a maintenance day. • George Springer left out of Wednesday’s lineup
George Springer is out of the lineup Wednesday after going hitless in the Jays’ last two games,

Advice: Springer is down to .194/.276/.285 for the season, though Statcast still thinks he’s been terribly unlucky. Cavan Biggio will start in right field tonight. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:08 pm
    • Getting rest Wednesday
Mullins is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cardinals, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Advice: After playing the final three innings of Tuesday's suspended game earlier Wednesday and finishing 0-for-3 in Baltimore's 3-1 loss, Mullins will get a breather for the regularly scheduled game. Colton Cowser will shift over from his usual spot in left field to make room in the lineup for Austin Hays and will replace Mullins in center field. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:35 am
    • Could return this weekend
Maeda (illness) could return from the 15-day injured list to start Saturday or Sunday versus the Blue Jays, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Advice: Petzold notes that Maeda is lined up to pitch this weekend, but the Tigers haven't yet divulged any official plans on that front. The right-hander has been on the shelf since mid-May with a viral illness but made a three-inning rehab start this past weekend for Triple-A Toledo and got through a bullpen session Wednesday with no concerns. Matt Manning is slated to make another start for Detroit on Friday but could be sent back down after that to make room for Maeda in the rotation. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:15 am

    • Hoping to take BP soon
The Mets are aiming for Alvarez (thumb) to begin taking batting practice during their upcoming homestand, which begins Friday and runs through June 2, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

Advice: It's been a month since Alvarez had surgery to address a torn UCL in his left thumb, and he's almost ready to pick up a bat as he advances his rehab. The catcher remains on track to return from the 10-day injured list in mid-to-late June. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:32 am
