    • Homer, three walks in win
Moreno went 1-for-2 with a solo home run, three walks and two total runs scored in Monday's 6-5 win over the Reds.

Advice: The homer was Moreno's first of the year, and this was the second game of the season in which he had multiple walks. He's gotten off to a slow start with the bat, hitting .248 through 33 contests, but he's made up for it with a 12.8 percent walk rate, easily the best of his career. Moreno has added 16 RBI, 12 runs scored, six doubles and a triple through 117 plate appearances while serving as Arizona's primary catcher. Rotowire.com 13 minutes ago

    • Gabriel Moreno homers, walks three times in win
Gabriel Moreno hit a solo homer and drew three walks in a victory over the Reds on Monday.

Advice: Moreno took Graham Ashcraft deep for his first homer of the 2024 campaign. The four-reach game helps improve his slash to .248/.350/.356. The on-base percentage is nice. Everything else leaves a lot to be desired — even as a catcher. Rotoworld Today, 10:04 pm

    • Expected back Tuesday
Schwarber (back) will be in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Mets, Corey Seidman of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

Advice: Schwarber was absent from Monday's starting lineup due to back soreness, but he was called upon later in the game to pinch it, which resulted in a strikeout. After Monday's win, manager Rob Thomson noted that the slugger would be back in the starting nine for the second game of the series. Rotowire.com Today, 8:03 pm

    • Sitting against righty again
Nevin is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Astros.

Advice: Nevin is on the bench for the fourth time in seven games, with each of those absences coming against right-handed pitching. With both Brett Harris and Tyler Soderstrom having settled into everyday roles at the corner-infield spots, the right-handed-hitting Nevin looks like he'll be limited to short-side platoon duties for the time being. • Remains out Monday
Schwarber is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Mets, Corey Seidman of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

Advice: Schwarber is on the bench for a third straight game due to lower-back soreness, but the 31-year-old is holding out hope for returning to the lineup for the Phillies' final game at Citi Field on Tuesday before the four-game series with the Mets shifts back to Philadelphia. With Schwarber out of the starting nine, Nick Castellanos will get a day out of the outfield and will serve as the Phillies' designated hitter. Rotowire.com Today, 1:17 pm

    • Alex Lange gives up four runs in relief
Alex Lange gave up four runs and five hits in two-thirds of an inning of relief Sunday against the Astros.

Advice: The good news for Lange is that the Tigers probably weren’t winning the game anyway, as he came on in the seventh with the team already down 4-0. Still, this was ugly; after getting the final out of the seventh, he retired just one of eight batters in the eighth. He gave up almost as many hits today as the six he had previously allowed in 14 innings this season, and his ERA, which was deflated by the fact that six of the seven runs he’d given up had been ruled unearned, went from 0.67 to 3.07. This can’t help his standing in the saves mix in Detroit. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:03 pm

    • Thairo Estrada out Sunday against Reds
Thairo Estrada is not in the starting lineup for Sunday’s game against the Reds.

Advice: It’s a day of maintenance for Estrada, as it’s his first day off since April 26. The 28-year-old infielder will get a day off with Brett Wisely getting the start in his absence. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:50 am

    • Sitting for series finale
Estrada is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Reds, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Advice: Estrada will sit for the first time since April 26, and Brett Wisely will start at second base Sunday against Reds right-hander Frankie Montas. Estrada is slashing .295/.340/.477 with two home runs and eight RBI in May. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:45 am

    • Not starting Sunday
Caballero is out of the lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Yankees, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Advice: Caballero struck out all four times he was at the plate in Saturday's 7-2 win and will get a day off to clear his head. Amed Rosario will serve as the Rays' starting shortstop Sunday and will bat sixth against Yankees right-hander Luis Gil. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:47 am
