    Advice: Signed to a minor-league contract on April 15, Pham has been knocking some rust off at Charlotte, where he went 5-for-17 with one double, two stolen bases and a 3:1 K:BB. The 36-year-old should receive regular playing time in the outfield for the White Sox, with most of it likely to come in right field.     Red Sox manager Alex Cora said Thursday that Gonzalez (wrist) isn't progressing as hoped and isn't considered close to a return from the 10-day injured list, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

    Advice: Gonzalez was placed on the IL on April 13 with a left wrist sprain, and after an MRI revealed no structural damage, the expectation was that the infielder would be ready rejoin the Red Sox after a minimum-length stay on the shelf.     Advice: Nevin's two-run blast off Nestor Cortes in the third inning proved to be the game-winning hit, as neither team crossed the plate after that point. The long ball was his first this season and just his sixth through 375 big-league plate appearances.
