    • Randy Arozarena (hamstring) rejoins Rays lineup
Randy Arozarena (hamstring) is back in the lineup for Thursday’s game against the Cubs.

Advice: Arozarena is playing left field and batting second against the Cubs after being held out of the lineup for the last two games of the series due to right hamstring tightness. He was able to pinch-hit each of the last two nights and remained in to play left field last night. It doesn’t sound like a serious concern moving forward. Rotoworld Today, 12:54 pm

    • Returns to Tampa Bay lineup
Arozarena (hamstring) will start in left field and bat second in Thursday's game versus the Cubs.

Advice: Arozarena missed the previous two contests with right hamstring tightness but is feeling well enough to give it a go in this one. The 29-year-old will bring a disappointing .599 OPS into play Thursday. Rotowire.com Today, 12:19 pm

    • Belts another long ball
Ohtani went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's loss to Texas.

Advice: Ohtani gave the Dodgers an early lead with a 424-foot solo shot in the first inning, but Los Angeles managed only one run the rest of the game. The homer was the second in as many days for the slugger, and he's up to 17 on the campaign, tied for sixth-most in the majors. Ohtani has added 44 RBI, 51 runs, 15 stolen bases and a .311/.383/.587 slash line through 298 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 11:37 am

    • Starting rehab assignment
Marsh (hamstring) will begin a rehab assignment with Double-A Reading on Thursday.

Advice: Marsh has been working out with Reading in recent days and is ready to test out his strained right hamstring in a game setting. The outfielder shouldn't require too many rehab games before being activated since he just landed on the 10-day injured list June 3. A return early next week at the start of the Phillies' homestand seems like a sensible target for Marsh. Rotowire.com Today, 8:57 am

    • Brandon Marsh (hamstring) to begin rehab assignment
Brandon Marsh will begin a rehab assignment with Double-A Reading on Thursday night.

Advice: It should be a brief minor league stint for Marsh, who is on the IL with a hamstring strain. He’s eligible to come off the injured list today and, barring a setback, will probably be activated this weekend. It will be interesting to see how the Phillies make room for him, given that David Dahl has been very impressive in his absence and has no options remaining. Sending down Weston Wilson would leave the Phillies short-handed in the infield, and releasing Whit Merrifield probably isn’t an option. Demoting Johan Rojas might be a possibility. • Getting afternoon off
Mountcastle is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against Atlanta.

Advice: Mountcastle will receive a breather for the day game after a night game, paving the way for Ryan O'Hearn to pick up a start at first base. The Orioles had included Mountcastle in the lineup for each of the last 14 games, with the 27-year-old slashing .273/.344/.564 with five home runs and 12 RBI over that stretch. • Tagged with loss Wednesday
Buehler (1-4) allowed three runs (two earned) on seven hits and a walk while striking out two over five innings, taking the loss Wednesday versus the Rangers.

Advice: Buehler gave up a three-run home run to Corey Seager in the fifth inning, and that ended up being the difference in this game. This was the sixth time in seven outings that Buehler has allowed at least three runs. He's likely still working on getting into a groove after an extended absence following his August 2022 Tommy John surgery. The right-hander has a 4.64 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 29:9 K:BB over 33 innings so far. He'll have a tough task in his next start, which is projected to be at Colorado. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:10 pm
    • Secures eighth victory
Gray (8-4) earned the win over Pittsburgh on Wednesday, allowing one run on four hits and one walk while striking out nine batters over seven innings.

Advice: After allowing the first two batters he faced in the outing to reach base, Gray retired the next 12 hitters to step up against him. The Pirates managed a fifth-inning run on a pair of hits, but that was the only tally they were able to push across the plate. Gray finished with his first quality start since May 3 -- a span of seven appearances -- and snapped a personal two-game losing streak. The right-hander allowed seven runs across 9.2 innings during that two-game stretch, but with Wednesday's excellent outing he improved his overall season ERA to 3.01. • Shohei Ohtani blasts 17th homer in loss to Rangers
Shohei Ohtani went 1-for-4 with a solo homer against the Rangers on Wednesday.

Advice: Ohtani put the Dodgers on the board with a solo homer off Jon Gray in the first inning. It was one of only two runs the Dodgers would score on Texas in the game. The 29-year-old superstar is slashing .311/.383/.587 with 17 homers, 51 runs scored, 44 RBI, and 15 steals across 300 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:13 pm
