    • Records two hits in return
Machado went 2-for-4 in Monday's 6-1 win against Oakland.

Advice: Machado missed four games due to a strained right hip flexor before returning to the lineup as the Padres' designated hitter Monday. He singled in his first at-bat and reached third base on an ensuing single and walk. Machado notched another single in the seventh and again reached third on a pair of singles before being pulled for a pinch runner, though that decision didn't appear to be related to a worsening of the hip issue. It's unclear when Machado may be asked to play the field again. Rotowire.com 24 minutes ago
    • Cal Raleigh delivers walkoff grand slam
Cal Raleigh hit a grand slam in the bottom of the ninth to give the Mariners an 8-4 win over the White Sox on Monday.

Advice: A sac fly also would have worked with one out in a tie game, but that’s not nearly as fun. It was the second career grand slam for Raleigh, who entered the night hitting just .180 in 39 career at-bats with the bases loaded. All eight Mariners runs came in the final two innings after Erick Fedde held them scoreless for seven frames. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:44 pm

    • Slugs walk-off grand slam
Raleigh went 1-for-5 with a grand slam in an 8-4 win against the White Sox on Monday.

Advice: Raleigh went hitless with a pair of strikeouts over his first four at-bats but finished the game with a bang, belting a grand slam with one out in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Mariners a walk-off win. It was the second straight day that the backstop produced a clutch hit -- he knocked a two-run single in the 10th frame Sunday to help Seattle to victory. Raleigh is barely over the Mendoza line with a .206 batting average on the season, but he's tied for second among MLB catchers with 12 homers and is tied for fourth with 39 RBI. • Correa has another two-hit game Monday
Carlos Correa went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI against the Rockies on Monday.

Advice: Correa is up to .270 with 27 RBI on the season. Not bad considering he already dealt with an oblique injury this season. Correa isn’t going to regain his All-Star form from his days with the Astros. He’s also not going to hit more than 20 home runs or steal any bases, but he’s quietly having a nice season by any reasonable measure. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:18 pm
    • Sitting out Monday
Stanton is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Royals.

Advice: Juan Soto is getting a day at designated hitter as he eases back into the Yankees' lineup, and manager Aaron Boone has opted against using Stanton in the outfield, so he'll begin this one on the bench. Stanton went 0-for-14 with seven strikeouts in the weekend series versus the Dodgers. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:27 pm
    • Manny Machado (hip) rejoins Padres lineup as DH
Manny Machado is in the lineup as a DH for Monday’s game against the A’s.

Advice: Machado missed four starts after hurting his hip Wednesday. He’s batting fifth tonight, with Jurickson Profar remaining in the third spot. Machado has moved around the middle of the Padres lineup some this season, but he did hit third in the three games preceding his injury. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:45 pm
    • Returning to lineup Monday
Padres manager Mike Shildt said in an interview on MLB Network Radio on SiriusXM that Machado (hip) will be back in the lineup Monday versus the Athletics as the team's designated hitter.

Advice: Machado was held out of the lineup for the previous four games due to a strained right hip flexor, although he was able to pinch hit once over that stretch. He will be eased back into the mix Monday as the club's DH, with a return to third base coming "hopefully sooner than later," per Shildt. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:04 pm
    • Timely hitting in Sunday's win
Raleigh went 2-for-5 with a two-run single in an extra-inning win over the Royals on Sunday.

Advice: Raleigh followed Julio Rodriguez's tie-breaking single in the 10th inning with his own clutch knock, pushing Dylan Moore and Rodriguez across with two more runs that would prove to be critical in the one-run victory. The veteran backstop is hitting just .214 over his last nine games, but he has a trio of two-RBI tallies during that span while hitting a solid .267 with runners in scoring position. • Cleared to start Tuesday
Maeda (abdomen) is listed as the Tigers' probable pitcher for Tuesday's game against the Nationals at Comerica Park.

Advice: Maeda threw just two pitches before he exited his most recent start last Wednesday against the Rangers due to right abdominal discomfort, resulting in the Tigers going with an impromptu bullpen day featuring five relievers. Fortunately for the veteran right-hander and the Tigers, Maeda appears to have come out of the abbreviated start with little more than mild soreness, and he'll be ready to make his next turn through the rotation on five days' rest. After inking a two-year, $24 million deal this winter, Maeda has gotten off to a rough start to his tenure with the Tigers, logging a 6.25 ERA and 1.41 WHIP over 40.1 innings while also spending time on the injured list due to a viral illness.
