    • Nolan Jones (back, knee) runs bases on Tuesday
Nolan Jones (back, knee) progressed to running the bases on Tuesday at Coors Field.

Advice: Jones was pulled off a minor league rehab assignment last week due to right knee soreness, so it’s an encouraging development that he’s resumed running already. The 26-year-old should ramp-up the intensity in the coming days and could get back into minor league contests as early as Thursday with Triple-A Albuquerque. He’s been on the shelf since late April due to a lower back strain. Rotoworld Today, 3:29 pm

    • Tuesday's game postponed
Skubal won't start as scheduled Tuesday against the Pirates since the game has been postponed due to inclement weather, Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic reports.

Advice: The contest will be made up via a straight doubleheader Wednesday. The Tigers haven't officially announced their updated pitching plans, but Skubal should start one of those contests. Rotowire.com Today, 3:12 pm
    • Pirates vs. Tigers postponed Tuesday due to rain
Tuesday’s game between the Pirates and Tigers has been postponed due to inclement weather.

Advice: It’s fitting that only Mother Nature herself could prevent fantasy managers from watching a highly-anticipated pitcher’s duel on Tuesday evening between Detroit ace Tarik Skubal and Pirates electrifying rookie Jared Jones. It’ll be made up as a doubleheader on Wednesday instead with Skubal and Jones squaring off in the opening contest of the twin bill. It’ll be dynamic top prospect Paul Skenes taking the ball in the nightcap affair. Rotoworld Today, 3:06 pm
    • Nearing new rehab assignment
Jones (back/knee) took batting practice and completed light outfield drills prior to Monday's game, MLB.com reports.

Advice: This was significant progress for Jones, marking the first time he swung a bat since his first rehab assignment was halted when he experienced knee inflammation. The next step will be running the bases, but that could be the final benchmark before he embarks on a second rehab stint in the minors. Rotowire.com Today, 7:11 am

    • Knocks three hits
Freeman went 3-for-5 with two doubles, two runs scored and an RBI in Monday's loss to the Rockies.

Advice: Freeman led the game off with a double and scored the first run. He later knocked an RBI single in the second inning and added another double in the ninth. It was his first multi-hit game since going 4-for-4 on May 18. Freeman boosted his slash line to .228/.324/.370 with 15 extra-base hits and 31 runs scored through 189 plate appearances. • Fans seven in quality start
Gasser did not factor into the decision Monday against the Cubs, allowing three hits and no walks over six shutout innings. He struck out seven.

Advice: Gasser dominated the Cubs, pounding them with a sound five-pitch mix to collect his second career quality start. The 24-year-old rookie has impressed in 23 innings so far, producing a 1.96 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 13:1 K:BB. Things have been excellent under the hood too, as he owns a 2.52 FIP and 47.3 percent groundball rate. Gasser is tentatively set to make his next scheduled start against the White Sox at home. • Tyler Freeman goes 3-for-5, doubles twice
Tyler Freeman went 3-for-5 and doubled twice as the Guardians’ leadoff man Monday against the Rockies.

Advice: Freeman won’t be spending much time in the leadoff spot after Steven Kwan comes off the IL, but he looks like a lineup fixture right now. His .228/.324/.370 line makes him a league-average hitter, which is kind of sad but also definite progress from the 25-year-old. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:15 pm

    • Gasser strikes out seven in no-decision Monday
Robert Gasser threw six shutout innings and got the no-decision in the Brewers’ 5-1 victory over the Cubs on Monday.

Advice: Gasser left the game in the seventh inning with two on and nobody. Reliever Bryan Hudson escaped the jam without any runs being charged to Gasser, who allowed only three hits and struck out seven. He lowered his ERA to 1.96 in four starts. Gasser has a SO:BB of 13:1 and 47 percent ground ball percentage. He’s certainly a promising rookie, though he’s probably due to give up some runs eventually as his xFIP is 3.99. The 24-year-old left-hander is set to face the White Sox at home this weekend.

    • Jarren Duran goes 0-for-5 in loss to Orioles
Jarren Duran went 0-for-5 with three strikeouts on Monday in the Red Sox’ loss to the Orioles.

Advice: Duran has been mired in a little bit of a funk lately, batting .233 (7-for-30) with one homer and one steal over his last seven contests. It’s an extremely small sample size, but if we frame out a bit more, he’s hitting .262 (32-for-122) with just two homers and three steals over his last 30 contests. The 27-year-old has shown glimpses of immense fantasy potential as a power/speed combo threat, but it hasn’t quite come together completely this season as he sits at only three homers and 11 steals through Memorial Day.
