    • Steven Kwan homers, reaches four times in win
Steven Kwan went 3-for-4 with a homer in an 8-4 win over the White Sox on Thursday.

Advice: Kwan hit a solo homer off Jared Shuster in the third inning to give Cleveland a 2-1 lead. That’s the eighth homer of the season for the 26-year-old, who is enjoying a sensational 2024 season to put it mildly. On top of the homer and two more hits, he also walked, and the slash is now a robust .367/.424/.539. It’s very likely this isn’t sustainable — at least to this level — but Kwan has been a difference maker in the first half of 2024 for fantasy managers and the Guardians. Rotoworld Today, 12:59 pm

    • Jeremy Peña homers, reaches thrice in victory
Jeremy Peña went 2-for-4 with a homer in a 5-3 win over the Blue Jays on Thursday.

Advice: Peña extended Houston’s lead to 5-3 with a homer in the seventh inning off Trevor Richards. The 26-year-old shortstop has homered seven times in 2024, and a three-reach game helps improve his slash to .280/.327/.400 over 325 at-bats. Rotoworld Today, 12:52 pm

    • Bryce Harper (hamstring) getting closer to return
Phillies manager Rob Thomson said both Bryce Harper (hamstring) and J.T. Realmuto (knee) are running at 75% intensity.

Advice: The Phillies will be home for six games next week and then have the All-Star break, so there’s no reason to rush either Harper or Realmuto, but Thomson said that the Phillies won’t hold either of them back if they’re ready to go before the break. Given the nature of Realmuto’s injury and his age, it’s more likely Harper will return before the break than Realmuto. However, the Phillies have a solid lead in the NL East, so the team could decide to be cautious with both and hold them out for next week. One would assume that if the Phillies don’t bring either Harper or Realmuto back for the early week series against the Dodgers, they will certainly hold them out for the weekend series against the Athletics. • Marcus Semien getting a day off on Thursday
Marcus Semien is not in the Rangers’ lineup on Thursday.

Advice: It’s a rare off day for Semien, who has played all 162 games in three of the last four non-COVID seasons and played 161 games in the other year. However, the day off might be needed as Semien has been struggling at the dish of late. Jonathan Ornelas still start at second and bat ninth. Rotoworld Today, 11:00 am

    • Slugs 19th homer Wednesday
Hernandez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to Arizona on Wednesday.

Advice: The Dodgers scored all their runs in the first inning, and their final tally came on Hernandez's solo shot. The long ball was his 19th of the campaign, putting the veteran outfielder one home run away from reaching the 20-homer mark for the sixth straight full season (he hit 16 during the pandemic-shortened 2020 campaign). Hernandez is on pace to challenge his career-best marks of 32 home runs and 116 RBI, which he established with Toronto in 2021. Rotowire.com Today, 10:35 am
    • Doing drills at 70-to-75 percent
Phillies manager Rob Thomson said Thursday that Harper (hamstring) is currently able to go through drills at 70-to-75 percent intensity, Corey Seidman of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

Advice: Harper is eligible for activation July 9 as he works his way back from a strained left hamstring. While the Phillies won't hesitate to activate Harper next week if he's ready, they do have the All-Star break looming the following week if they decide to give the first baseman a little more time. • Heading to bench Thursday
Fry is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the White Sox.

Advice: Fry has a .606 OPS in his past 12 games and will take a seat for Thursday's contest. Jose Ramirez will rest his legs as the designated hitter while Gabriel Arias receives a start at the hot corner. Rotowire.com Today, 9:40 am

    • Taking seat Thursday
Cronenworth is not in the lineup for Thursday's contest versus the Rangers.

Advice: It's a routine day of rest after Cronenworth started each of the previous 12 games for the Padres. Tyler Wade will receive a start at second base. Rotowire.com Today, 9:06 am

    • Rare day off amidst slump
Semien is absent from the lineup for Thursday's game against the Padres.

Advice: It's just the second day off of the season for Semien, who has managed just two hits over his last 36 at-bats. Jonathan Ornelas will handle second base for the Rangers on Thursday while Semien receives some much-needed rest. Rotowire.com Today, 8:53 am
