Despite the lack of power, he has managed to hit .263 with a .417 on-base percentage for the month -- both of which are significant improvements over his season-long line.       Advice: Soto recently battled a forearm injury, and that may have been bothering him during an eight-game stretch without a homer. The 29-year-old also struck out once and is hitting just .175/.284/.325 on the year. While the overall numbers are bad, there are no glaring red flags to point to. He’s swinging and missing slightly more and is perhaps being a bit too passive this season, potentially leading to worse overall contact quality.
