    • Jurickson Profar homers, knocks in three runs
Jurickson Profar had a two-run homer and an RBI single to drive in three of the Padres’ four runs Tuesday against the Marlins.

Advice: We’re still not sure what’s gotten into Profar, but he’s hitting the ball harder than ever and he’s currently boasting a .354 BABIP that’s nearly 90 points better than his career mark. He has to fade some from here, but this is the best he’s ever looked at the plate. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:13 pm

    • Jake Cronenworth goes 0-for-4 versus Marlins
Jake Cronenworth went 0-for-4 on Tuesday, leaving him 12-for-56 in his last 15 games.

Advice: Given his obvious decline in 2022 and ’23, Cronenworth was a very nice surprise to begin this year, batting .285/.349/.503 in his first 39 games. He’s slumped the last two weeks, but his exit velocity numbers are still encouraging enough to suggest that he’ll snap out of this and remain rather productive. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:13 pm

    • Four hits vs. Orioles
Devers went 4-for-5 with a triple, two RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's 8-3 win over Baltimore.

Advice: The four hits are a season-high for Devers while the triple was his first since 2022. The 27-year-old third-baseman had cooled off a bit following his six-game home-run streak, going 3-for-17 in his last five contests. Following Tuesday's effort, Devers is slashing .289/.380/.548 with 10 homers, 26 RBI and 28 runs scored through 192 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:24 pm

    • Falls to St. Louis
Abbott (3-5) took the loss Tuesday against the Cardinals, allowing six runs on seven hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out three.

Advice: Abbott held St. Louis to three runs through six innings, as he pitched into the seventh for a third straight start. However, Abbott would allow the first three batters to reach in the frame, punctuated by a Nolan Gorman homer, en route to an eventual 7-1 loss. The 24-year-old left-hander had held opponents to two earned runs or fewer in nine of his 10 starts prior to Tuesday. Abbott's ERA rose to 3.29 with a 1.13 WHIP and 46:17 K:BB over 63 innings this year. He'll look to get back on track in his next outing, currently scheduled for early next week in Colorado. • Rafael Devers has four hits in win over Orioles
Rafael Devers went 4-for-5 with a triple and two RBI in an 8-3 win over the Orioles on Tuesday.

Advice: It was a solid day at the plate for Devers, who had two hits over 104 mph and is now hitting .295 with seven home runs and 19 RBI in 25 games in May. It’s safe to say that he’s rebounded nicely from his slow start to the year, and the counting stats should continue to climb when the Red Sox are able to get Tyler O’Neill, Triston Casas, and Masataka Yoshida back in the lineup around Devers. • Andrew Abbott hit hard in loss to Cardinals
Andrew Abbott allowed six runs on seven hits in six innings in a loss to the Cardinals on Tuesday.

Advice: It was only a matter of time before there was a rough start for the left-hander who came into the day with a 2.68 ERA but a 4.38 SIERA and just an 8.3 percent swinging strike rate. His sweeper performed well on Tuesday, but the rest of his arsenal lagged behind a bit and while he didn’t get hit overly hard, he had just an 18 percent whiff rate and 23 percent CSW on the day. He’ll now take a 3.29 ERA into a game in Coors Field next week. He’s a very risky start there. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:20 pm

    • Mike Trout (knee) starts running on treadmill
Mike Trout (knee) has progressed to running on a treadmill.

Advice: Trout underwent surgery earlier this month to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee and remains without a definitive timetable to return to Los Angeles. He’s expected to resume baseball activities at some point in June. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:58 pm

    • Sitting out nightcap
Ohtani isn't in the Dodgers' lineup for the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Mets, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports.

Advice: The Dodgers were planning on giving Ohtani the evening off heading into Tuesday's twin bill, so he'll sit in the dugout after an 0-for-5 performance during Game 1. Will Smith will instead serve as Los Angeles' designated hitter, allowing Austin Barnes to start behind the plate. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:16 pm

    • Ohtani won’t play second game of doubleheader
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told reporters that Ohtani won’t start the second game of the doubleheader Tuesday against the Mets.

Advice: Ohtani will get a rare day off in the second game of the twin-billing. With the 29-year-old superstar out, the Dodgers will have Will Smith as the designated hitter and Austin Barnes will get the start behind the plate. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:19 am
