• Exits Friday's game early
Wilson was removed from Friday's game against the Angels with an apparent injury, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Wilson hit a single during his first career MLB at-bat in the third inning, but he came up limping after coming around to score and was replaced on defense once the A's took the field. The nature of Wilson's injury remains unknown, but Oakland will provide more information once its training staff takes a closer look at him. Rotowire.com Friday, 7:48 pm

  • Jacob Wilson leaves MLB debut with apparent injury
Jacob Wilson was forced to leave his big-league debut after three innings on Friday after suffering an apparent hamstring injury.

Advice: Wilson singled in his first big-league at-bat and then raced around the bases to score on a triple, but he came up hopping into home plate after doing so. He initially returned to his position to warm up prior to the fourth inning, before the decision was ultimately made to remove him from the game. He’ll head for further evaluation. • Elly De La Cruz swipes league-leading 47th bag
Elly De La Cruz went 1-for-4 with a stolen base on Friday against the Nationals.

Advice: The Reds’ offense was asleep for eight innings in this one before coming alive for four runs in the ninth inning to make the Nationals sweat. It’s still spectacular to see how high De La Cruz’s steal total can climb, as he’s now stolen 17 more bags than Brice Turang who is second in the league. Rotoworld Friday, 6:48 pm
  • Jon Berti (calf) suffers another minor setback
Jon Berti (calf) suffered a minor setback in his recovery from a high-grade calf strain and will receive a PRP injection on Saturday.

Advice: The Yankees had been hopeful that he would be able to begin a minor league rehab assignment over the weekend, but those plans have had to be put on hold for now. There remains no clear timeline for when Berti may be able to return to action. Rotoworld Friday, 1:10 pm

  • Getting PRP injection after setback
Berti will be given a PRP injection after suffering a setback with his left calf strain, Greg Joyce of the New York Post reports.

Advice: Yankees manager Aaron Boone deemed it a "minor" setback, but Berti won't be ready for rehab games this weekend as originally planned. It will also push back his timetable for a return, although that remains fluid. Berti has been shelved since late May. Rotowire.com Friday, 1:01 pm

  • Vaughn Grissom could start a rehab assignment soon
The Athletic’s Jen McCaffrey reports that Grissom “could see a rehab assignment within the next couple weeks.”

Advice: After the Red Sox traded Chris Sale to get Grissom this offseason, the 23-year-old has only played in 23 games. He began the year on the IL with a hamstring injury and then was sidelined a month later when they resurfaced. According to McCaffrey, “The Red Sox have tried to balance out the strength in each hamstring to ensure he can stay on the field.” With David Hamilton playing well, the Red Sox likely won’t rush Grissom back, but his eventual return could complicate playing time in the middle infield. • Another steal in Sunday's loss
Moore went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in a loss to the Angels on Sunday.

Advice: Moore reached safely for the fourth time in his last five starts and recorded his fourth steal over the last eight games in the process. The veteran heads into the All-Star break with a serviceable .714 OPS, but the extra-base hits that have played a large role in that figure and become his calling card have surprisingly dried up of late. Moore has just one hit greater than a single in his last 15 games, and he heads into the pause in play with a 17-game home-run drought. Rotowire.com Jul 15, 10:03 am

  • Homers in Sunday's win
Henderson went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 6-5 win over the Yankees.

Advice: Henderson's power pace has dipped in July -- he has two homers this month, though he's still hit .275 (14-for-51) over his last 12 contests. The shortstop's blast gave the Orioles a 2-1 lead in the third inning. Henderson is up to 28 homers this season, matching his total from 150 games last year in just 95 contests in 2024. He's added a .286/.373/.584 slash line, 63 RBI, 78 runs scored, 14 stolen bases, 18 doubles and five triples. Rotowire.com Jul 14, 10:52 pm
  • Slugs pair of homers
Tovar went 3-for-4 with two two-run home runs during Sunday's 8-5 win over the Mets.

Advice: Tovar chipped in two of the Rockies' six long balls Sunday, launching two-run homers off Jose Quintana in the first inning and Adrian Houser in the seventh. After going hitless in 28 at-bats to start July, Tovar is 11-for-25 since, with three doubles, five RBI and four runs scored. Despite the cold spell, the 22-year-old is slashing .274/.302/.462 with 14 home runs, 46 runs, 42 RBI and four stolen bases at the All-Star break. Rotowire.com Jul 14, 9:25 pm
