    Advice: Toglia drew his second straight start in right field over Hunter Goodman since being recalled from the majors Thursday. He drove in one in his first appearance since the promotion and had another productive game Friday when he cleared the bases with a three-RBI triple in the fourth inning. Toglia came around to score on the same play but was not credited with an RBI due to an error by the Cardinals.     José Abreu hit his second homer Friday off the Angels’ Roansy Contreras.

    Advice: Abreu is definitely swinging the bat better now than he was before he was sent to the minors, but that bar is so low it might as well be underground. Both of his homers have come since his return, a period that’s seen him go 5-for-27 with an 8/1 K/BB. We’re still pretty skeptical that he belongs in the majors at this point.     Advice: Carlson enjoyed his best game of the season, notching three RBI in a contest for the first time since June 20, 2023. The 25-year-old outfielder tied the game in the sixth with an RBI single before knocking a decisive two-run double in the eighth to extend the St. Louis lead to 8-5.     Advice: Carlson singled home a run in the sixth, and that tied the game at 5-5. The outfielder gave the Cardinals an 8-5 lead two innings latter with a two-run double, and that’s the first two-bagger of the season for the 25-year-old. Carlson once looked like a potential fantasy stalwart, but injuries and inconsistent play have left him as a player that should be left on the waiver wire in the overwhelming majority of leagues. The 25-year-old has shown some pop with a .407 slugging mark, but his .148 average and .179 on-base mark answer any questions about whether he’s worthy of fantasy consideration.
