• Erick Fedde hurls six strong in victory over ARI
Erick Fedde went six innings while allowing two runs to get a win over the Diamondbacks on Saturday.

Advice: Fedde did allow eight hits, but he didn’t put anyone on via walk while striking out six. The right-hander gave up runs in the first and fifth inning and he was able to avoid the big inning for another strong outing for the 31-year-old. The White Sox have been a disaster, but Fedde has been an absolute bright spot with a 3.09 ERA through 87 1/3 innings. He’s scheduled to take on the Tigers on Friday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:08 pm
  • Ty Blach holds Pirates to two runs in victory
Ty Blach held the Pirates to a pair of runs in 5 2/3 innings in a victory over the Pirates on Saturday.

Advice: Blach gave up seven hits and issued one walk with five strikeouts. The veteran southpaw continues to give up plenty of baserunners — 25 hits allowed over his last three starts — but he was able to get out of jams for the most part to get his third win of the season. Blach is obviously not a streaming option for his next start scheduled against the Dodgers. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:56 pm

  • José Quintana spins gem against Padres
José Quintana allowed one run on two hits in six innings in a win over the Padres on Saturday.

Advice: Both of Quintana’s hits allowed were for extra bases, but he was able to avoid damage apart from the solo home run to Jackson Merrill. The left-hander induced eight whiffs on 31 swings for a 26 percent whiff rate and 30 percent CSW. The Padres only had an average exit velocity on contact of 85 mph, as Quintana kept them off the barrel all day. He now has a 4.98 ERA and is not a recommended start next week against the Cubs. • Mazur can’t escape 4th in loss to Mets
Adam Mazur allowed two runs on three hits in 3 2/3 innings in a loss to the Mets on Saturday.

Advice: Mazur struck out four but walked six on the day. The 23-year-old had just a 43 percent zone rate overall while posting a 23 percent CSW. He’s now walked 13 batters in 12 2/3 innings to start his MLB career which is not exactly ideal. He now has a 7.82 ERA and is no guarantee to make his next start with Yu Darvish close to being activated. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:10 pm
  • Working behind opener Saturday
Henry is expected to work in bulk relief behind opening pitcher Scott McGough in Saturday's game against the White Sox, Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic reports.

Advice: After being called up from Triple-A Reno last Sunday, Henry worked behind McGough and picked up a win against the Padres, despite giving up two earned runs over three hits and two walks over 2.1 innings. Henry hasn't been used since that relief outing, so he should be able to give Arizona plenty of length once McGough exits Saturday's contest. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:41 am

  • Joining MLB roster
The Pirates selected Fleming to the active roster Friday, Kevin Gorman of TribLive.com reports.

Advice: Fleming will rejoin the Pirates' bullpen after being DFA'd on May 14. He'll take the place of Hunter Stratton (triceps), who was placed on the 15-day IL, while Niko Goodrum was designated for assignment to make room for Fleming on the 40-man roster. Fleming has pitched 19 innings with the Pirates this season and owns a 5.68 ERA and a 1.68 WHIP. Rotowire.com Friday, 4:22 pm

  • Pirates promote Josh Fleming from Triple-A Indy
Pirates selected the contract of LHP Josh Fleming from Triple-A Indianapolis.

Advice: He’ll take the place of the injured Hunter Stratton (shoulder) in the Pirates’ bullpen. Fleming has already made 17 appearances with the big league club this season, posting an underwhelming 5.68 ERA, 1.68 WHIP and a 13/9 K/BB ratio across 19 innings. Niko Goodrum was designated for assignment in a corresponding move to free up a spot on the team’s 40-man roster. Rotoworld Friday, 4:09 pm

  • Strong in return to rotation
Cannon allowed one run on four hits and a walk while striking out seven over seven innings in a no-decision versus the Mariners on Wednesday.

Advice: Cannon dueled with Seattle starter Bryce Miller for seven innings, but the Mariners struck first when Luke Raley hit a solo home run in the seventh. This was still Cannon's best start of the season, and it appears he'll have a chance to stick in the rotation for a while following the White Sox's recent reshuffling of their pitching staff. The 23-year-old is at a 4.56 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 24:5 K:BB over 23.2 innings over five appearances (four starts). Mike Clevinger (elbow) is expected to require a rehab assignment prior to returning to the Chicago rotation, and since that has yet to be announced, it seems likely Cannon will take the mound during next week's home series versus the Astros, especially after the right-hander's strong showing in Seattle. • Jonathan Cannon allows one run in no-decision
Jonathan Cannon allowed one run with seven strikeouts over seven innings in a no-decision against the Mariners on Wednesday.

Advice: Cannon put together his best start of the season. He had tossed six scoreless innings, scattering three hits and one walk before Luke Raley took him deep to break the tie game in the seventh. Cannon finished out the seventh, striking out seven batters on the day. The 23-year-old right-hander will take a 4.56 ERA, 1.35 WHIP, and a 24/5 K/BB ratio across 23 2/3 innings into a start against the Astros in Chicago on Tuesday. Rotoworld Wednesday, 9:19 pm
