• Joc Pederson gets ejected in eighth inning
Joc Pederson was ejected from Monday’s game in the eighth inning for arguing balls and strikes.

Advice: Pederson was right, not that it matters much. Manager Torey Lovullo was also tossed with the Diamondbacks down 5-4 to the Reds in the eighth. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:40 pm
  • Ty France homers as Mariners outlast Royals
Ty France went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in a victory over the Royals on Monday.

Advice: France turned a 4-2 cushion into a 6-2 lead with a two-run shot in the eighth inning. The infielder hasn’t hit for much power in 2024, but that does give him three homers and 13 RBI. France has been known to go on hot streaks, but fantasy managers just can’t bet on enough consistent production to add him to a lineup. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:17 pm

  • Luke Raley homers, plates three in win over Royals
Luke Raley homered, drove in three runs and stole a base Monday in a 6-2 win over the Royals.

Advice: Raley has been excellent in May, and this was easily his best game in a Mariner uniform. The outfielder scored a two-run homer off Brady Singer in the second inning, and he drove in another with an RBI single in the third. The outfielder also stole his second base of the season, and he’s athletic enough to project more if he can continue to get on base. At this point, it sure seems likely that Raley is going to see much more consistent playing time than he did to begin the year. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:17 pm

  • Andrés Muñoz strikes out three in four-out save
Andrés Muñoz struck out three while going 1 1/3 scoreless innings Monday to get a save against the Royals.

Advice: The Mariners won this game by four runs, but because the right-hander came in with the score 4-2, he still gets credit for the save. That’s the sixth of the season for the 25-year-old, and he’s lowered his ERA to an aesthetically pleasing 1.62 in the process. Muñoz has been one of the best relievers in baseball for the first quarter of the season, and it should continue through the summer months. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:17 pm
  • George Kirby blanks Royals over seven in victory
George Kirby held the Royals to three hits with six strikeouts in seven shutout innings to help the Mariners to a win Monday by a 6-2 score.

Advice: After struggling for the majority of his start against the Twins, Kirby bounced back nicely. As is usually the case, he didn’t put on any runners via walk, and he pounded the strike zone with 68-of-101 pitches going for strikes. When Kirby doesn’t have his best stuff/command the results can be problematic. He usually does. Kirby will face the Orioles next. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:17 pm
  • Brady Singer struggles in loss to Mariners
Brady Singer was charged for four runs over five innings while picking up a loss Monday to the Mariners.

Advice: Singer was in constant trouble Monday, as he allowed nine hits with one walk against six strikeouts. He gave up a long homer to Luke Raley in the second, and two more runs were surrendered by the right-hander in the third. Singer has been solid for the overwhelming majority of 2024, but this wasn’t his night. A good chance to rebound comes Sunday against the Athletics, assuming the rotation order doesn’t change. • Idle against lefty
Raley is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Athletics.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Raley will retreat to the bench for the series finale with southpaw Alex Wood on the hill for Oakland. Raley's platoon mate, Sam Haggerty, will draw the start in left field. Rotowire.com Sunday, 11:42 am

  • Getting maintenance day
Moreno is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles.

Advice: Moreno will receive a breather after he had started at catcher both of the previous two days while going 1-for-8 with a double. Tucker Barnhart will get the starting nod behind the dish in the series finale in Baltimore. Rotowire.com Sunday, 7:03 am
  • Resting Saturday
Rocchio is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the White Sox.

Advice: Rocchio has gone 0-for-8 with two strikeouts over the first two games of the series, and the 23-year-old rookie will begin Saturday's game in the dugout. Gabriel Arias will start at shortstop and bat ninth against White Sox right-hander Mike Clevinger. Rotowire.com Saturday, 1:07 pm
