• Jordan Leasure gets two-out save versus Rays
Jordan Leasure earned his first major league save by getting two outs Sunday against the Rays.

Advice: Michael Kopech was unavailable after pitching the last two days. Leasure entered with one on and a two-run lead after Erick Fedde gave up a run in the ninth, and he went on to retire Austin Shenton and Curtis Mead to end the game. The rookie has a 1.59 ERA through 11 1/3 innings, though his 7/5 K/BB ratio isn’t at all impressive. Rotoworld 18 minutes ago
  • Zack Littell solid in loss to White Sox
Zack Littell pitched six innings of two-run ball in a loss to the White Sox on Sunday.

Advice: Littell has a 3.27 ERA and a 35/5 K/BB ratio after six starts, but he’s just 1-2 and the Rays are 2-4 in his outings. He’ll get the Mets next time out. Rotoworld 18 minutes ago

  • Managing back tightness
Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said Kimbrel was removed from Sunday's game against the A's due upper-back tightness, though the skipper isn't sure if the injury will be an ongoing issue, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Kimbrel suffered his second straight blown save Sunday as he allowed a walk and a two-run homer to the only two batters he faced before he exited with the injury. The 35-year-old will continue to be evaluated over the next couple of days, and it remains to be seen if a trip to the injured list will be necessary. Rotowire.com 22 minutes ago

  • Craig Kimbrel dealing with tightness in upper back
Craig Kimbrel was removed from Sunday’s outing against the Athletics after two batters due to tightness in his upper back.

Advice: Orioles’ manager Brandon Hyde told reporters after the game that he left Kimbrel in after the first visit to the mound, because Kimbrel said that he was okay and Hyde’s preference is to “trust the player”. What remains unclear, is how much time, if any, Kimbrel will be forced to miss. Yennier Cano makes for a nice stash where available in the event that Kimbrel winds up on the injured list. • Lively chased in fifth inning against Braves
Ben Lively allowed one run on four hits in 4 1/3 innings in a no-decision against the Braves on Sunday.

Advice: Lively also struck out five and walked two, but he was at 88 pitches with two runners on in the 5th when Stephen Vogt decided to remove him. Lively entered the fifth with a shutout and just two hits allowed, but he immediately gave up a hard lineout, then a double, and a single, and that was the end of his day. He did post an impressive 31 percent whiff rate and 27 percent CSW and has a 2.30 ERA as a member of the Guardians’ rotation this year. He’s firmly on the streaming radar next week against the Angels. Rotoworld 25 minutes ago

  • Jason Foley escapes with save on Sunday
Jason Foley pitched around two baserunners to earn a save in the Tigers’ 4-1 win over the Royals on Sunday.

Advice: Foley was called on to protect the three-run lead and immediately walked a batter and allowed a single. However, he was able to pitch himself out of trouble with a ground out and back-to-back strikeouts. The right-hander now has a 1.38 ERA and nine saves on the season. Rotoworld 28 minutes ago

  • Paul Sewald scheduled to throw bullpen Wednesday
Paul Sewald (oblique) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session on Wednesday.

Advice: The Diamondbacks announced on Saturday that Sewald was having his rehab slowed a bit due to renewed soreness, but it sounds like it’s only a minor issue. He’s still probably going to need another appearance or two in rehab games before he’s cleared to return, but it’s not all doom and gloom for the Diamondbacks’ closer. Rotoworld 39 minutes ago

  • Sent to Triple-A
The Cubs optioned Little to Triple-A Iowa on Sunday, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Advice: Little surrendered five runs over two-thirds of an inning Saturday and will be demoted in favor of some fresh arms. Daniel Palencia and Richard Lovelady are joining the Cubs as Jordan Wicks (forearm) heads to the injured list. Rotowire.com 40 minutes ago

The Cubs Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago TribunePalencia from Triple-A Iowa on Sunday.

Advice: The 24-year-old was sent down by Chicago on April 17 but will rejoin the big club for Sunday's series finale in Boston. Palencia has made three MLB appearances this season and has given up four earned runs with a 5:7 K:BB over six innings. Rotowire.com 43 minutes ago
